Ella and Frank Foster owned and operated the Elfra Court Motel (1950-1975), which was the 1st Black-owned motel in Wildwood, New Jersey. They hosted entertainers Chuck Berry, Smokey Robinson, Sammy Davis Jr. and the Supremes. Amenities of its 32 rooms included a private bath, TV, air-conditioning, maid service and wide sundecks. It had a heated pool, free parking and was a short walk to the beach, shops and nightclubs.
