I thought I would do a little write up on why I have returned to el gouna every year for over 10 years and finally invested in a property with my family.
(Becky’s views)

At the start we had lost a loved one and didn’t fancy spending Xmas at home. My children were only babies so the thrill of Santa wasn’t a thing back then. 🎅🏻

On arrival into el gouna you have to pass through security gates, everyone in el gouna has to have a purpose to be in area even the Egyptians I instantly felt safe. 😊

We were taken to the villa we had rented and were simply blown away. A pool, private beach and a lagoon for the kids to play safely 🥰

We didn’t need to fight for sunbeds, we could put the children inside to nap or watch tv when it was too warm and the most important part for us was we could put them to bed and still enjoy our evening on the veranda with a glass of wine or watching a film. Win win 🥳

El Gouna has a marina and a downtown. Both offering lots of amazing restaurants, bars and shops.
Mexican, Greek, Thai, Indian, seafood, Italian, steak house, sports bars, coffee shops and fast food we were simply spoilt for choice. 🍛🍲🥓
You can also order takeaway and have bbqs which is always a favourite day of ours 👍

As a family you could order a taxi from your villa phone for 50le (approx £2.50) to take you anywhere within el gouna but our preferred option of travel was always a tuc tuc 20 le (£1) for 2 persons. 🚙

We were sold on that way of holidaying from the first year. Each year we returned, as the kids got older we could stay out later to have a drink in the marina to my dads delight 😂 we could have an annual go carting race (if you know the family we are highly competitive and its like competing in the olympics no1 likes to lose 😂😂)

Every year El Gouna has improved, I’m excited to go back with the kids this year as there is an aqua park, Moto cross,sea cinema and bikes we can hire that we have never done before. ❤️

El Gouna is the most chilled holiday you could imagine and this works for us. 🥰
On the other hand those looking for more to do, waterparks, arcades, funfairs etc you won’t find this in el Gouna. 😔
