This will be their THIRD year taking an annual Sandals romantic getaway, and they have given me the pleasure to book for and with them each time! White sand beaches...crystal clear waters...all inclusive delectable meals and refreshing drinks! They will be enjoying a romantic and gorgeous sunset catamaran cruise on this trip as well as some local shopping. BUT...Did you know...Beaches is for EVERYONE?!?!

There are currently 2 Beaches resorts in Jamaica and 1 in Turks and Caicos...but there are more to come!

Ok, mon! I've been in Jamaica since last Sunday, 9/22...and I will be heading home tomorrow, Sunday, 9/29. I have SO much content to share but have not wanted to overload you all, so the Jamaica and Sandals/Beaches content WILL continue after I've arrived back home!

While being here, I have FALLEN IN LOVE with Jamaica! The natural beauty of the landscape, the joy and hearts of the people, the amazing food and drink!...honestly, the list is endless!

JAMAICA LOVE is not just some cliché saying...it is a very real thing.

While many people know that Sandals means luxury vacations, many do not know that there is also a non-profit Sandals Foundation that helps make a difference in the Caribbean! I was lucky enough to visit a school of ages 3-5 while in Jamaica and spend time with the children there bringing them school supplies and books, reading to them, engaging with them AND having an AWESOME Gummy Bear dance party!

We've arrived for the second leg of our trip!

Today, on our journey checking out of our first resort and into our second, we stopped at a local school to see some first hand workings of the (non-profit) Sandals Foundation. We were able to visit with the children, read them some books, drop off school supplies, and have a dance party with them! Check back for my post later this evening with more details of the Sandals Foundation and our time with the kids!

I am very excited to share that I have been presented with an amazing opportunity, as a travel advisor with Goldgell Getaways, to be one of two agents, (out of over 100 agents from our agency), to represent the company for a week with Sandals Resorts. This experience has been named, "Jamaica Love."

The week of September 22-29, my fellow Goldgell Getaways travel advisor and I will join 500+ other travel advisors and be immersed in the destination of Jamaica.

At the beginning of July, Hurricane Beryl roared through much of the Caribbean and left destruction behind.

Many have probably heard of the Sandals Resorts for their luxury, all inclusive Caribbean vacations. Many may not know that there is also a Sandals Foundation, which is a non-profit organization launched in March of 2009 to help Sandals Resorts International to make a difference in the Caribbean.

We will be going to Jamaica to assist the Sandals Foundation to provide hope to families. Hurricane Beryl has caused significant infrastructural damage to communities in the Eastern Caribbean as well as the south coast of Jamaica, leaving many families unsure of their next move. We will assist with clean up and aid in soup kitchens in collaboration with Sandals Foundation, executives, resort management, government officials and the media.

Of course, we will also be touring all 9 resorts Sandals has in Jamaica, and be completely immersed in the area, which will also include a bit of R&R times for ourselves!
