A bicycle, two busses and $5 will take you from Fremont street to Boulder City, gateway to Hoover Dam.
I stopped out to get some photos and have a root beer float at the old A&W. Such a beautiful day, it was perfect for an adventure such as this.
So a car pulls up to where I’m hiding from the storm and two dudes are giving me the cold stare. One dude speaks up and asks “are you sheltering from the wind and rain?” I nodded, acknowledging the obvious. “Do you see the No Tresspassing sign behind you?” Grumble grumble... “I guess I do now, you tellin me I gotta split?” I asked. “Yeah bro, you’re trippin the security cameras!!”
.. so off I went into Hurricane Liberace, as I have dubbed it. Some dude on a skateboard was sailing east down Charleston as I was heading the opposite direction. He stops and asks me about the area. Then he starts telling me he was just released from prison and that the area looks so different. At that point, thankfully I realized I needed to use the restroom and remembered this cool little bar nearby.
A dude named Ashley started a hot dog truck and named it “Dude, Where’s My Hotdog?” He placed it in front of Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club for 2 years where he earned buttloads of cash slingin’ his wieners. They picked the brand new building at Charleston and 3rd street to open . The city gave them the license and go ahead to operate the day before we shut down for Covid last year. Through their fun social media posts, they have kept the dream alive.
Artwork all over the place and an old soul vibe. This is a decent place to watch the Golden Knight’s play if you’re a hockey fan. They seem dedicated. Sports aren’t my thing at all. Rather spend my time playing video games. I also refuse to refer to video games as E sports.
Anyhow... BANGKOK (Beavis and butthead giggles) is my favorite hotdog here. It tastes like a thai salad on top of a tasty all beef dog.
A few weeks ago, someone told me the wings here were 🔥, so I grabbed some Mango Habanero.
Drinking really isn’t my thing anymore, however, they have a huge assortment of imported beers from all over. Jesse, the bartender/server, told me this beer was $3... SOLD
Long story short. I found a spiffy place to weather this temporary storm.

Honestly tho, I was gliding East down Sahara and craving a burger. Almost stoppped at Wendy’s but only drive thru was open and they aren’t bicycle friendly 😞 I was about to glide down to In-N-Out when this PHO sign caught my eye.
I definitely made the correct decision by coming here instead. Happy tummy!!!😋🤪😊
This will be my fourth visit to - The food here is so darn good , I travel 11 miles from my apartment via bus and bicycle just to savor the flavors. 😎😋Chilly evenings are perfect for this spicy beef noodle soup. Perfect amount of heat with Spanish redskin peanuts and tender fatty beef. Look at those noods tho!!😮 Those are flame grilled chicken gizzard skewers. Not as tender as I had hoped but delicious noneletheless. I added them to the soup. The last time I can recall seeing chicken gizzards on the menu was at a Chester Fried Chicken kiosk inside of an Indiana truck stop. Vegas isn’t hip to fried gizzards, haven’t found them in this town as of yet. 🧐😢The beef roll is the most popular item on the menu here crisp and fluffy roti pancake stuffed with tender marinated beef and green onions. I have ordered one during each of my visits.😋🤓 Spicy pork wontons are a must order appetizer item. Saucy, nutty, spicy and addicting. Lastly, I have ordered a Thai iced tea every time I come here because they are big and delicious and taste more authentic than most places that offer Thai iced tea. 🤠 Everything is made from scratch and the service is always prompt and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. This is the place fer sher!!! Mr. Chopstix is located in Southwest Las Vegas on Fort Apache drive, just north of Sunset Road.

Good morning. For an awesome bowl of oatmeal, I recommend using steel cut oats. 40 meditative minutes to make satisfying oatmeal… plenty of time to think about stuff. Stirring, while thinking. It was a challenge at first but eventually I got the hang of it. This has become sort of a morning ritual. The rest of my kitchen is a mess btw. Would anyone like to clean up after me in exchange for an awesome bowl of ?
This new drink spot opens upstairs next to at the most awesome in Downtown Vegas. Tried a nifty apple soda that pairs well with hot tamales candies. Stop by and see them soon, also grab some pizza!!
Occasionally I will visit the on Decatur near Charleston and James is always my server. I always pick the bar because I tend to get my food quicker. It doesn’t matter how busy they seem to be, James is always on top of everything I need and provides top notch service. One of the best lunch specials ever is the Unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks for $8.99... it’s a steal!!! For me it usually means three bowls of Zuppa Toscana, six breadsticks and one helping of salad. Aside from the full belly and wonderful service, James always slips me these delicious chocolate mints when I pay the bill. Ummm, more please?? Say what you will about most chain restaurants. This stands out as highly exceptional!!
