Anyone remember the stone step we moved to build our new deck last October? Well, thanks to Diego and his crew at that stone is now set in its new spot! We are still scratching our heads how my grandfather got that stone there so many years ago 🤷‍♀️

We’re at the tail-end of spring cleanup. Raked the beach, burned a lot of brush, and managed to watch some curling on the deck with a Caesar! Not long until we welcome our first guests for the season!

Cottage No. 3 on Oblong Lake is a family legacy passed down from my grandfather. He built six waterfront cottages after him and my grandmother immigrated to Canada from Italy. Generations of families spent their summers enjoying the fresh water and relaxing surroundings of Oblong Lake in my grandparents’ cottages. Cottage No. 3 is one of the remaining original cottages built by my grandfather, and is newly-renovated to share with new families to make memories in.
