$60 knotless braid in South Africa! This style would’ve cost me $300 plus in the US! #knotlessbraids #braidingstyles #braidedhairstyles #blackhair #southafrica #travelblogger #blacktravel
Straight from the plane to getting my hair slayed in Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪 💁🏾♀️ $30 total for taking out my twists, hair wash & blow dry treatment, trim, and waist length braids! I found Lillys Hair and Beauty Parlour near my hotel in Nairobi and I’m so glad I walked in! Now I have a fresh new style for the rest of my East Africa trip ☺️Have you gotten your hair styled in another country? .:#kenya #hairbraiding #nairobikenya #Africanhairstyle #braidstyles #blacktravel #travelblogger #blackexcellence
Welcome to the Democratic Republic of Congo 🇨🇩, country #96! I took a 7 hr bus from Kigali, Rwanda to the border city of Rusizi! I then crossed into Bukavu, DRC! This trip certainly isn’t for every type of traveler! There are travel alerts throughout DRC and this route is probably best for experienced adventure travelers! To enter DRC I requested a letter of invitation from facilitators at Kahuzi Biega National Park! I paid $100 on arrival and the tourist visa is valid for 14 days! Stay tuned to see what I bucket list experience I did while there 🇨🇩🙌🏾 #DemocraticRepublicoftheCongo #Congo #solotraveler #solotravel #africatravel #BHM #blacktravel

Hello Country #101, Australia 🇦🇺! With more than 10,000 beaches throughout the country, it’s no surprise that Australia is known as one of the world’s premier surfer destinations. Since this is my first solo trip of the year I decided to challenge myself and try to ride an epic wave! I booked a 2 hour beginner surf lesson via @getyourguide and had amazing surf instructors! They were so supportive even after many failed attempts! This experience was such a fun workout and a great introduction to Aussie culture! To quote my new Aussie friends, “No worries, mate.” #surfing #sydneyaustralia #australia #blacksurfers #solotravel
This is for my ancestors who weren’t deemed as equal human beings under the United States Constitution until 1868! This is for enslaved Black Americans in Texas who weren’t told they were free until June 19th, 1865! This is for my great great great grandmother Ann Boles who couldn’t legally own her own property until 1919! This is for all the Black Americans who had to rely on “The Green Book” to safely find where to stay during segregation! This is for young girls who don’t see themselves in male-dominated industries! This is for ME! A dreamer, lawyer, world explorer, victim’s rights advocate, and a child of God! I am my ancestors wildest dreams 🌟 🟢🔴⚫️The flag I’m holding is the African-American or Pan-African Flag! #club100 #Blackhistorymonth2024 #BlackHistoryMonth #roadto100countries #globetrotter #worldexplorer #travelislife #blacktravel #africanamericanhistory #blackexcellence #traveltheworld
Hello Australia 🇦🇺, Continent 6/7! I was tired of waiting on someone to come to Australia with me so I went solo! Fear of bugs, snakes, and other creepy crawlers was a major reason why many of my friends were hesitant to step foot in Australia! Other than seeing leech on a bus heading to Blue Mountains, I didn’t see anything out the ordinary! Sydney has been one of the easiest places I solo traveled to and I’d recommend it to any English-speaker who is looking to take a leap into solo travel! Have you been to Australia? 🇦🇺
