I came to Shuri Castle in Okinawa, which is also designated as a World Heritage Site. Shurijo Castle was the residence of the king of the Ryukyu Kingdom, which existed in the Ryukyu Islands of Okinawa for about 450 years from the 1400s to the 1800s. It has burned by the war, but it was restored from the end of the 1980s, and in 1992, the main hall was restored. However, the fire in 2019 burned down many restored buildings, including the main hall, and the crafts. Currently, some of the remains of Shurijo Castle are open to the public for the purpose of viewing the process of re-restoration.
