About Jhari Falls Also famous as Buttermilk Falls, this beautiful waterfall is one of the most mesmerising tourist attractions in Chikmagalur. Encompassed by serene coffee and tea plantations, Jhari Falls is a delight for everyone who wish to bask in the luxury of nature. This waterfall is formed naturally by the springs in the mountains. The monsoons accentuate the beauty of this place and makes it a place worth visiting in Chikmagalur. Tourists here can indulge in a cool dip in the pool formed by the waters of the fall. For the people visiting here, it should be remembered that the private vehicles are not allowed and one has to take a jeep ride due to the bad condition of roads there. Location: Datha Peetha Road, Athigundi Village, Chickmagaluru, Karnataka Best Time to visit: The best most ideal time to visit Jhari Falls is from August to January, however, Jhari Falls has its peak season from September to December. Honnamma Falls is a lovely waterfall located in the Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. The waterfall is situated at a distance of about 25 km from Kemmanagundi and about 1 km from Baba Budan Giri Dattatreya Peetha. Nestled within a dense forest area the waterfall is one of the lesser known natural beauties of Karnataka There are a number of steps built from the approach road near the falls. These well laid steps lead visitors to the bottom of the waterfall. There is a protection fence that has been erected at the bottom near the pool of water created by the falls. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing bath under the waterfall near the fence. Best time to visit the Honnamma Falls Though the waterfall can be visited throughout the year, the best time to visit it is during the months of October to April.
