Today, the Tourism for Future project, under the IPA instrument, has proudly delivered EcoLabel standard certificates to 4 grantees in Kolasin, Montenegro. These accommodations have successfully met the EcoLabel criteria, contributing to a greener, more sustainable tourism industry. 🌱🏨

This Cross-Border project, connecting the Kolasin region in Montenegro and the Peja region in Kosovo, continues to set the standard for eco-friendly practices in the tourism sector.

Additional 7 spots for Accommodation EcoLabel standard Certification are now open for application!

🌍🎉 Proud Eco-moments from yesterday in Peja!

The 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 project, under the IPA instrument, implemented by Prishtina REA and our consortium partners, has officially delivered 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 to 9 grantees from the 𝐏𝐞𝐣𝐚 region. These accommodations have successfully implemented the 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 criteria, after months of implementation following Auditor's recommendations, taking a significant step towards sustainable tourism! 🌱🏨

This Cross-Border project, connecting Kosovo (Peja region) and Montenegro (Kolasin region), is paving the way for a greener tourism industry. In total, 20 grantees will receive 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 certification—9 in Peja and 4 in Kolasin as part of the first phase.

The remaining 7 spots are now open for application!

This morning, our Cross-Border Eco-Trail adventure from Peja to Kolasin has officially started! 🎉 Participants are all set, heading out to explore the natural beauty of these regions, experience local traditions, and enjoy some mouth-watering culinary delights. 🍽️

This unique trail promotes eco-tourism and strengthens the connection between the regions of Kosovo and Montenegro through sustainable tourism activities. 🌍 From hiking to tasting local foods and experiencing the warmth of rural hospitality – this journey is one to remember! 🍯🥾

Cross-Border Eco-Trail🏔

Objective:📌
- To promote Eco-trail initiatives as a cross-border cooperation instrument and bring closer the regions of Peja in Kosovo and Kolasin in Montenegro through eco-tourism.

Event Dates:📆
- October 1 –2, 2024

Trail Route:🚶‍♂️
- Starting and ending points: Peja to Kolasin
🔹 Activities: Participants will experience traditional culinary delights,
including a food-tasting experience at Guesthouse Ariu and Kulla e
Rugovasit on the Kosovo side, as well as a visit with food-tasting at
Household Jokic and Household Kljajić on the Montenegro side.
They will also engage in various traditional activities such as hiking and beekeeping lessons, promoting the area’s unique attractions and sensory experiences.

🔹Accommodation: Overnight stay and dining in Kolasin, Komovi Mountain

Cross-Border Eco-Trail🏔

Objective:📌

- Approximately 15 participants representing Eco-trail stakeholders, including tourism professionals, local authorities, and the mountaineering community from Peja.

Trail Route:🚶‍♂️
- Starting and ending points: Peja to Kolasin
- Route:

🔹 The trail starts gathering in Peja, leaving for Reka e Allages, GuesthouseAriu as the first stop.

🔹 Villages Covered: Participants will explore the villages of Llutove, Pepaj, Koshutan, Shkrel, Boge, Stankaj, Haxhaj, Kuqishte, and Cakor, Lubnice, and Kolasin from the Montenegro side and taste the beauties of this exceptional nature.

🔹 Activities: Participants will experience traditional culinary delights,
including a food-tasting experience at Guesthouse Ariu and Kulla e
Rugovasit on the Kosovo side, as well as a visit with food-tasting at

📢 We are thrilled to announce the successful 2nd Monitoring Visit of our project “Tourism for the Future”!

📅 Date: 30th July 2024
📍 Venue: Prishtina REA

✨ Our team had a productive session, reviewing the project’s progress and discussing its relevance, design, efficiency, effectiveness, impact, cross-border effects, and sustainability. We also addressed any challenges and outlined corrective measures to ensure the project’s success. 🚀✅

The monitoring visit was conducted by the Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS), the responsible body for monitoring projects under the IPA II CBC Programme Montenegro - Kosovo 2014-2020. As part of the JTS, the assigned representative provided valuable support and oversight for our project, “Tourism for the Future”. 🌍

This project, under the IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Montenegro – Kosovo 2014-2020, is a significant step towards fostering sustainable tourism and strengthening our regional cooperation. 🤝🌿
