Meet Goofy. She is super goofy! I put gloves and a few items I didn't want the flock getting to up on a shelf the chickens can't reach. My stuff kept ending up on the floor. Goofy figured out a way! Later, she decided it was a good place to lay an egg.

We save the pineapple tops. Each top will eventually produce one pineapple. Check out my first baby pineapple. Sometimes, an iguana will get them before I put them in a pot. The one in the ground was stolen by an iguana and left on the hill where it planted itself. I'm keeping them close to the house during dry season. I'll add these guys to pineapple hill in April.

This beach is really cool. You can be there in about 45 minutes from our house. Kizmet was hot and thirsty so laid down in the fresh water to get a drink. Every time, his ball would get taken by the current so he would have to chase it. He finally turned his back, tucked the ball under his shoulder and had a nice rest and drink.

So excited! Our giant composter is ready to turn our organic waste into soil. Soon, no more hauling expensive sacks of compost! That is Alan of Regenerate Your Reality inside making sure that everything operates easily and perfectly! Alan also started my food forest and built my chicken house!

Alan and his partner Jean will be hosting a lovely one-of-a-kind Farm-to-Table Lunch and Permaculture Farm Tour, complete with a Waterfall Hike this Saturday (January 20th) from 9am to 1pm for at! 💦🥙🌿 They will be sourcing most of the ingredients from their very own farm, so you can rest assured that you'll be enjoying fresh and organic produce. During the tour, we'll be discussing permaculture and how to grow your own food, as we explore all sectors of our permaculture example. After the tour, we'll be harvesting from the lands and dining together. 🐒🐒🐒 Yesterday, we had a family of squirrel monkeys visit Portasol Living Community. Costa Rica has four kinds of monkeys - howler, capuchin, spider, and squirrel monkeys. Our community has spotted all four kinds. When Luis (who works at the gate) spotted these monkeys, he notified the whole community so we could check them out. The staff here is so amazing.
