While Nantucket is mostly known for its pristine beaches and other summer activities, they town of Nantucket is unique to explore in its own right. In fact, the town itself is listed on the National Register of Historic Places because it is such a well preserved example of late 18th century New England seaport towns!

We loved walking the cobbled streets of Nantucket to see the history and beautiful buildings. Walking up Main Street truly felt like stepping back in time!

One of our favorite things to see on Nantucket were the island's lighthouses! There are three on the island: Brant Point Lighthouse (pictured here), Sankaty Head Lighthouse, and Great Point Lighthouse.

Brant Point Lighthouse is especially fun to visit because from Brant Point, you can walk all the way to Jetties Beach! Plus, Brant Point offers a fantastic view of town and the boats entering the harbor.

When we visited the Cotswolds, we chose to stay in Chipping Campden, since the town balances fun shops and restaurants with great accommodations. Plus, Chipping Campden is less busy than larger towns, such as Broadway. We especially loved wandering around the town in the evenings to enjoy the quaint streets and historic buildings!⁣

Welcome to Victoria Street, J.K. Rowling's inspiration for Diagon Alley! (However, the film set was inspired by Shambles Street in York, England, so it looks very different than the movie set.)⁣

Running from just off the Royal Mile down to Grassmarket, Victoria Street is a beautiful curved street filled with shopfronts. For Harry Potter fans, make sure to check out a bookshop on Victoria Street, which proudly explains (in writing on their shop-front) that they consider themselves the inspiration for Flourish and Blotts! In addition, there are a couple of Harry Potter gift shops partway down the street.⁣

The center of Positano is one of Italy's most enchanting villages. Because of that, it can be a little busy in the summer! Luckily, the Palazzo Murat Hotel offers a tranquil space in the middle of the bustle to enjoy an afternoon in by the pool. Located right next to Positano's famous tiled church dome, the pool area offers fantastic views, great service, and a relaxing space to enjoy the Italian sun.

Did you know that the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland is located on the Isle of Skye? Dunvegan Castle sits on the edge of the island, offering these scenic views, and a ton of history.⁣⁣

Welcome to the heart of Munich, Germany! This is the main shopping area in central Munich. From large chain stores to smaller boutiques and souvenir stores, you will find everything here! Plus, this pedestrian-only street is home to some of Munich's greatest architecture, including the historic Neues Rathaus. ⁣

Fun Fact: While most of Munich's historic center has been rebuilt since World War II, the city was carefully rebuilt in the same style and footprint of the pre-war city. Because of this, a walk through Munich's central area feels like you are stepping back in time!⁣

Looking for fantastic Italian food in the center of Waikiki? Consider Arancino di Mare! This awesome restaurant is located right off Waikiki’s main street, Kalākaua, but offers high-end Italian classics that you wouldn't normally expect to find in a touristy area.

Dishes include burrata caprese salad, fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza, and plenty of unique pasta dishes. When we visited, we ordered family style, meaning we split two pizzas and two pastas between four of us so we could try everything (definitely a must do)!
