Well everyone after picking up tilly from Penrith, we went to yass for a night then spent a relaxing week at pigs point on the Mitta Mitta, then off to the ladies camp on the delatite arm, blue gum flat 2 camp ground, we spent another week there then off to Cranbourne and stayed a few nights with the grand kids, we are finally home after about 15,000 ks and 20,000 bucks later, what an adventure. But bloody hell the welcoming of the weather home, rain rain I just want to turn around and head off again.

So just a round up. For those that have followed me thankyou for joining my journey. I will still post stuff here until I get home.
My advise if you are planning on doing the cape York and tip is , 1 make sure you have a reliable car, and if you want to do the old telly track is, make sure you have good clearance, a snorkel, a UHF, a compressor to lower and pump up tyres, a winch, and most importantly, you have some great buddies with you and no time limit, so 1 that if any breakdown you stick together. 2 you don't care if your car gets scratched on the old track, lol.
And that you take your time getting there, so you can soak up everything in your head to create memories. I will hopefully do it again one year and do the whole telegraph track.
Another thing is try to get to every part of the cape for it could be your only time, I regret not doing Lockhart's river and that area.
Also always be croc wise and don't think that there ain't crocs in those rivers, just because you can't see them, they have their 👀 on you.
Sams creek was my favourite with the color of the water and crystal clear and a good camp.

Went for a drive today to the 3 pubs in the scrub lol, this area is what I thought lightning ridge would have been like. At the 1st pub I had a drink and small chips I would hate to see what large chips where. At the 3 pub I did some looking around for opals I got a few. The photo of the big rock I can't wait to see what I have for it has green and blue in it. It will take a good month though to get the s**t away from it.

In lightning ridge tonight I went to have dinner at the bowls club, but unfortunately you have to become a member to enter, even if you are a visitor. Now I think that is a bit of bulls**t really, but anyway ended up at the pub and boy the meal there was awesome. Then I came back to the van got changed and went to the artesian pool. This is open 24/7 and being at 42° it bloody hot so didn't stay long in there but it was very nice, and then seeing a couple of green tree frogs, it made me miss home, for I have 3 of them with the turtle.
Hopefully I sleep better tonight after the dip.

Well been and done laps in the 50mt cold pool, then went on the waterside for a couple of runs so much fun, and have just soaked and did exercise In the thermal pool of 40° awesome love st George qld

Last night I tried to capture the 2 moons lol but didn't come out.
After only having 3hrs sleep last night I packed up and left roma ( car cost 1400 to fix and tune) and making my way to lightning ridge. I'm like nearly half way, staying in a caravan park that is really one of the best parks I've been too, the showers are to die for it gives you a bloody good massage with the pressure, the manages are the most friendliest ppl ever and even park my van for I broke down due to tiredness 😩. Have a lovely old couple in the next site sleeping in a tent. Good for them. Went to the Australian hotel pub for dinner and had a lamb koffla ball format curry, very yummy. So early bed tonight staying for a few days just to relax and enjoy.
