Jaco Beach Tours Offers A Great Experience For Anyone Who Enjoys Surfing!
Jaco beach
Jaco Beach lies on the central part of the Central Pacific Coast, near the village of Todong, in the province of Playa del Carmen. Jaco is well-known for its long white sandy beaches and clear blue water. The Central Pacific Coast is also home to the world famous surf city of Jaco, which is known for its high-flying breaks. Other smaller beaches of note are the Playa Del Carmen, in the north; Candolim, in the south; and Fortin de Sac, in the northeast.
In the mid-morning, a small jetty is installed in front of the small marina located at the north end of town. This jetty is used by tour buses, taxis, and people walking along the white sandy coastline to get to the marina. At this point, a long line of cars, trucks, and motorcycles can be seen parked in the middle of the road. These vehicles are all headed for the famous Jaco beach, which lies just a few meters away from the jetty. Bicycles and a few cars can be seen going back and forth between the two ends of town.
A twenty-minute walk from the jetty, you will reach the heart of Jaco beach. It is known as La Playa de San Jose. This is a large public park, housing a swimming pool, children's playground equipment, picnic tables, benches, a fountain, as well as other attractions such as the Jaco Beach amusement park and a cafe. This entire area can easily be considered to be a complete day trip out of Jaco.
Just a few minutes further north from the back beach, you will come across a popular surfing spot. The north end of this particular beach is lined with high, rough surf. Because of the rough surf, it is usually best to go to the south end of the beach where surfers can find waves closer to shore. However, you should pay attention to the warnings posted on the boardwalk. You should never come in the water if it is warning you of possible danger.
Just a few minutes further north from Jaco beach is the town of Jaco. The north end of this town is lined with restaurants, shops, hotels, motels, and other establishments. On the south end of the beach is the town of Manzanillo, which is the main point of entry into the rest of the region known as Roatan.
As a last minute reminder, you should also check availability and prices here at the jetty before you visit the southern end of the beach. You can do a Google search of "Jetty Surf Camp" or follow the links provided. As you tour this area, stop in at the Jetty Surf Camp to ask about the best time to book a stay. You may also want to talk to the owners of the Surf Camp to find out more information about the location and their services.
