A one of a kind stay at Snow Moon Cottage is just what the doctor ordered for the family. The entire family. Especially the furry ones.

Records, board games with hot cocoa, reading a book with from the library wall, playing in the snow in our huge enclosed yard, exploring all that Big Bear Lake has to offer.

rēlx Vacation Homes has been expanding slowly over the years and just in case you didn't already know, we are now managing homes in the following Southern California markets: Ventura County, Big Bear Lake and the Greater Palm Springs areas! Our beloved Hula Hut is a 1938 oceanfront California bungalow, nestled between Malibu and Santa Barbara in the historic Silver Strand neighborhood of Oxnard, CA. We love this new review, written by our recent guest Charles, May 2023.

"Stepping into the Hula Hut was like stepping back in time; when small, cozy, kitschy beach cottages dotted the sands before the age of mini-mansions crowding lot lines.

The cottage is exactly as pictured: a riot of colors, a plethora of knick-knacks and vintage memorabilia, and a warm, comfy place to make your own special beach memories. It absolutely oozes lovingly-worn character from every nook.

To be sure, it isn't for everyone. As it could probably open tomorrow as a vintage gift shop, there are too many delicate, shiny, "don't touch" objects to be comfortable staying with children or rambunctious teens. And the single bathroom and little sound insulation means two couples or a family should be very comfortable sharing each other's spaces.

So if you are looking for a sleek, chic, contemporary beach box, keep on searching. But if you want to nestle among the dunes in an amazingly warm and happy place, come to the Hula Hut as fast as your flip flops can flop!"

The cutest home entrance ever at RELX's new super comfortable home, "Stormy Bear" in Big Bear Lake. Details: 10 person capacity, hot tub, fireplace, fire pit, a primary bathroom you will have a hard time wanting to leave with a tub overlooking gorgeous pine trees, very spacious kitchen to spread out and cook and the most yummy comfy sofa for movie nights. Our most recent guests arrived all the way from Jackson, WY to have a California road trip experience with their two young kids. This was the kids’ very first time seeing the beach/ocean and they sent me this photo from our gorgeous Seabreeze Beach House. They visited the beach twice a day by walking down the neighborhood beach path and spent quality family time in Seabreeze’s vast living space. Their daughter fell in love with our tea set and then requested tea each evening while enjoying puzzles and reading books. 🥰 How adorable is this photo? Mom has mad photography skills. Thanks for sharing a photo that only a mom can capture and for sharing stories of your visit. Safe travels home.

Located on the coveted North end of Hollywood Beach and built in 1957, our Mid-century California Beach cottage, (AKA The Hollywood Beach Bungalow) is just one street in from the sand, which is an easy 2-minute walk in either direction. As you know, the Southern California beaches aren’t just seasonal, they are amazing to visit year round and whether it’s an 85 degree day in December or an overcast, grab your sweater and hot chocolate kind of day in July, every day is a great beach day!

Come for a stay! We can accommodate up to six guests with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and with a brand new mini-gym in the garage, you can’t go wrong with a Spring Break family visit, hybrid work trip or a friend getaway. With both back bedrooms opening out to our back patio and the open concept from front to back, our humble little beach house never feels over-crowded.
