Beginning November 14, 2022, for sailings departing from the United States, Disney Cruise Line will no longer require Guests (regardless of vaccination status) to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to sailing. And to celebrate I wanted to highlight the announcement from last week regarding the Disney 100 Years of Wonder that will be the largest cross-company global celebration in the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company. Disney Parks around the world will celebrate the 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣th anniversary! ✨🎉

Here is all that you need to know about the Disney100 anniversary celebration! ⬇️

✨ The celebration will officially kick off on Jan. 27, 2023 at the original Disneyland Resort in CA, with special limited-time offerings taking place throughout the resort all year long! 🎉

Those special offerings are:
✨ “World of Color – One” at Disney California Adventure park will celebrate the storytelling legacy started by Walt Disney a century ago. It will tell a new story of how a single action, like a drop of water, creates a ripple that can grow into a wave of change. It brings some of the most courageous, loving and inspiring characters to life in new ways. The show will also feature a new original song, “Start a Wave.”

✨ At Disneyland park, Walt’s original magic kingdom will become a magnificent canvas with “Wondrous Journeys,” a new nighttime spectacular that will ignite the wonder in all of us. It will feature nods to every Walt Disney Animation Studios film to date, taking us on a journey filled with artistry, music, storytelling and heart. 🏴‍☠️ The Pirate-themed rooms located at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort in the Trinidad area have been retired and will be receiving a brand-new look and feel! These new rooms have been said to include subtle nods to fan-favorite characters from under the sea 🌊, will accommodate more guests and feature updated finishings that can’t be found anywhere else at the resort. 😍

Please note that as Disney prepares for these new rooms, guests will be able to see and hear refurbishment work in and around the Trinidad area beginning October 3. Disney looks forward to welcoming guests into these new rooms in 2023! 🎉

🧞‍♂️ Disney Genie+ service continues to be very popular among our guests. As we continue to manage the strong demand we are seeing for this service, we are introducing variable pricing for Disney Genie+, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 11.

🎡 At Disneyland Resort, Disney Genie+ will now be $25 per day when purchased in advance as an add-on with a new ticket or vacation packages. Single-day purchases for Disney Genie+ through the Disneyland app will begin at $25 per day, and may vary by date, based on demand.

🕷️ Additionally, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure at Disney’s California Adventure Park is now part of Disney Genie+, providing guests with even more options to choose from when using this service.

🏰 At Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Genie+ will also vary in price based on the date a guest is visiting. Similar to theme park tickets, throughout the year, prices may be lower on less busy days and higher during peak periods like Thanksgiving and Christmas. For example, now through the end of October, prices will be $15 per Guest, per day on less busy dates, $22 on some of our busier dates, and somewhere in between on other dates (plus tax; prices subject to change beyond October).

‼️ As a reminder, single-day purchases of Disney Genie+ at Walt Disney World Resort are only available directly through the My Disney Experience app on the guest’s date of visit.

🚨 DISNEY WORLD UPDATE 🚨
Disney stated - “We are continuing to closely monitor weather conditions as we assess the impact of Hurricane Ian at Walt Disney World Resort. We anticipate weather conditions to improve throughout the evening on Thursday, Sept. 29 and are planning for a phased reopening of our theme parks and Disney Springs on Friday, Sept. 30.”

Also captured are some Disney characters keeping guest company at their resorts during the hurricane. ❤️

Walt Disney World AFTER HOURS ARE COMING BACK! 🎉🎉

After hours events are returning to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios in January! 🙌🏼

If you aren’t familiar with what an after hours event is.. This is a seperate ticketed event that gives you 3 extra hours of park time. Feast on things like unlimited ice cream bars and popcorn, ride some of your favorite select attractions like Space Mountain or Rise of the Resistance with very short wait times! 😍

These events are a great way to experience the parks with very low crowds! 😬 If you have a trip coming up next year, this is definitely something to look into doing!

Beginning Oct. 14, 2022, for Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish sailings and Nov. 7, 2022 for Disney Magic sailings, Disney Cruise Line will no longer require Guests to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of sailing, however, it is highly recommended. All Guests ages 5 years and older who are not fully vaccinated (Unvaccinated Guests) will need to submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken 1-2 days before the sail date. Guests ages 4 years of age and younger do not require testing.

🌀Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions as we prepare to make necessary adjustments based on the latest information from the National Weather Service. We continue to put the safety of our Cast Members and Guests first and will share updates as we monitor Hurricane Ian.

💫Current Updates: 💫

🌀Disney Resort Hotels:
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort since these locations will temporarily close Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Sept. 30 due to the weather. We are contacting Guests with current and upcoming reservations.

🌀Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will close temporarily Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29. (Disney’s Blizzard Beach is currently closed).
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will also temporarily close Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29.

🌀Reservations for Dining and Other Experiences:
Effective immediately, we will not enforce cancelation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences like Savi’s Workshop and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
We are currently monitoring weather conditions and will communicate any changes to park operating hours or special events at a later time.
