Name a prettier place to ski…. I’ll wait 😏

I’ve been skiing on the East Coast my entire life, and I FINALLY got to ski out west, and I can’t imagine a better place than Lake Tahoe!

invited me to check out their new hotel renovation, which I LOVED because it’s always a good time at Margaritaville! I loved the atmosphere, and it’s located in the perfect location in South Lake Tahoe, just steps away from the villages (the best place for shopping & eating) and right next door to resort. 🎿

I also stayed in South Lake Tahoe during the summer , and now I can’t decide which I like more! 🙈 It’s a perfect destination year round.

So if you want to best skiing and snowboarding views of your life - you know where to go! 🤩

Details for the deadliest hike in America👇🏻

17 people have died hiking Angel’s Landing, but they’ve implemented a new permit lottery system to avoid overcrowding and make it a lot more safe!

Angel’s Landing is a 5.4 mile round-trip hike with 1,488 feet of elevation gain.

There’s 2 ways to get a permit for this hike.

1 - The Seasonal Lottery
Pick up to 7 days & times or ranges of days & times that you are available to hike. Be sure to list the dates you want most first. The lottery uses a ranked choice system to allocate permits. If you do not get your first choice, you may get another. You can list up to 6 people on your application.

2 - Day Before Lottery
You can apply for a permit the day before your planned hike. This lottery opens every day at 12:01 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m. Mountain Time (MT).

But don’t worry if you don’t get an Angel’s Landing permit because Zion National Park is still one of the most amazing places you’ll ever go. Another bucket list hike through the water is the Narrows.

A good dupe for Angel’s Landing is the Canyon Overlook Trail. It’s much shorter with less elevation gain. But the views are similar.

Photo Locations:
1-2: Angel’s Landing
3-4: Canyon Overlook Trail
5: Kolob Canyons

These were taken about 2 years apart I just wore the same shirt. 😂

Who’s heading to Zion this year?? 🙋🏼‍♀️

Monument Valley - Save for your visit!

Monument Valley is located on the Utah/Arizona border. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, so you’re best bet is to come here after visiting Horseshoe Bend & Antelope Canyon in Page, AZ.

Monument Valley was unknown until the 1930s, but blew up after being featured in lots of movies such as Stagecoach, Rio Grande, National Lampoons Vacation, Back to the Future III, Mission Impossible II, the TV series Westworld, and most famously, Forrest Gump.

Although a little pricey, I recommend staying at the View Hotel for a night because the views are absolutely incredible, and it’s the only property inside Monument Valley - which is owned by the Navajo Indians.

Forrest Gump Point is located on US-163 about 20 minutes from the visitor’s center. Since it’s technically not inside Monument Valley, it’s free to visit. This spot gets super busy and can be tough to photograph due to all the traffic coming and going.

Access to Monument Valley Tribal Park is $20 per vehicle. You can schedule a tour, hike the Wildcat Trail , or drive the Tribal Park Loop. Also known as the Valley Drive, this 17 mile loop will take you to iconic spots like John Ford’s Point and the mitten for the some cool photo ops.

Photo locations

3,5 - The View Hotel
4,6,7,9 - John Ford Point

Have you visited Monument Valley yet or is it still on your list? 😄

Believe it or not - I think the best time to visit Sedona is in the winter! 😱

I visited Sedona last January and fell in love with the town and surrounding nature.

Why I love Sedona in the winter:
1 - Sedona has gotten really popular, so wintertime is great for avoiding the massive crowds.
2 - You don’t have to do the hikes in that sweltering Arizona heat.
2 - Off season = cheaper prices 🤑
3 - You might see some snow cover which makes the red rocks even more magical.

Photo locations:
1 - Devil’s Bridge
2,5 - Cathedral Rock at sunset
3 - Subway Cave via Boyntom Canyon Trail
4 - Bell Rock
6 - Seven Sacred Pools
7 - Pink Jeep Tours
8 - Birthing Cave

Have you been to Sedona yet?? Do you think you’d visit in the winter? 🤔

Don’t sleep on this state park!

Goblin Valley is a great stop if you’re visiting Utah’s big 5. It’s only about an hour from Capitol Reef and 1.5 hours from Moab.

It’s worth stopping even if you only have a few hours to spare, but it’s also great for a half day or even a full day trip.

It’s a state park so you’ll have to pay $20 admission even if you have a national park pass.

Save for your next trip to Utah! 😄

An underrated hike in Utah👇🏻

Surprise surprise - not all of Utah’s natural stone arches lie in Arches National Park, but this one isn’t too far away!

Whether you’re coming from Arches or Moab, it’s a little over an hour to drive to this trail.

Corona Arch Trail is 2.3 miles round trip with 462 feet of elevation gain. This is a two for one because you’ll get to see Corona Arch and Bowtie Arch.

There is a section that has ladders and cables - so this is a fun one!

Don’t miss this trail when you’re in Moab!

An underrated national park‼️

White Sands National Park is unlike anything you’ve ever seen, so here’s what you need to know to visit:

It’s not super close to any major cities, so you’ll need a car to get here. Two of the closest cities are Albuquerque, New Mexico (3.5 hours) and El Paso, Texas (1.5 hours).

The best time to visit is during the cooler months from October to April. If you visit during the summer, BE CAREFUL! The sand can get very hot.

I was in Albuquerque for the annual International Balloon Fiesta in October - so it was the perfect opportunity for a day trip to White Sands! 🤩

Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and lots of water. They don’t sell any food inside the park, so pack your own if you plan to stay awhile.

The park offers restroom facilities and picnic areas, but nothing more.

Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash and aren’t allowed on the dunes themselves.
You can rent a sled from the visitor’s center, practice your photography, or go hiking along the marked trails.

Don’t forget to bring your National Park Pass for free admission!

Have you been to White Sands yet??

Are these the best sand dunes in the US?!🤫

That’s a TOUGH call. I do think they might be the most photogenic, though!

I have also been to
- Little Sahara Recreation Area in Utah
- Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park in Utah
- White Sands National Park in New Mexico
- The Sahara Desert in Morocco 😱

I haven’t yet made it to Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, but it’s still on my list!

Anyways, no visit to Death Valley is complete without visiting the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. But you’ll have to hike out pretty far (about a mile, which feels like 100 when trudging through sand) to get to the highest dunes.

This is also one of the few places you WANT sun because it’ll create a stark contrast between on side of the dune and the other.

Have you been to any sand dunes yet??

A must in Death Valley 👇🏻

Artist’s Palette is one of the most photographed spots in Death Valley, and it’s easy to see why!

This kaleidoscope of colors can actually be seen from the parking area, but I suggest walking a little further in to see it better.

These rocks will have the deepest hues when the sun isn’t shining and washing out the colors.

Add Artist’s Palette to your Death Valley itinerary!

1 - Blue hour (right after sunset)

2 - 1 hour before sunset

3 - 2 hours before sunset

4 - Aerial view

The Bonneville Salt Flats are super photogenic at any time of day, all year round! I would love to come back someday when they’re covered with water to capture some of those epic reflection shots. 🤩

HOW is this on planet Earth, let alone just in Utah⁉️

You can find the location details for this spot in my Utah highlight. Just please remember to leave no trace!

But you should probably skip this spot if you don’t have a drone. Unless you’ve got a bird’s eye view, there isn’t much to see, and it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere.

Also just an fyi, every photo from this spot is edited, including mine. If someone says it’s not, they’re just lying to you.😂 The colors aren’t nearly this vivid in real life - but they will look better at different times of the day!

Do you recognize this spot? Have you been here yet? And more importantly, which shot is your favorite?? 😜

The most photogenic spot in Lake Tahoe👇🏻

It’s pretty tough NOT to find gorgeous scenery anywhere in Lake Tahoe, but I think I might’ve found the best spot. 🤭

It’s called Secret Cove Beach, and it can be a little tricky to find. You have to park on the side of the road then hike almost a 1/2 mile down to the beach, so I recommend finding it on to ensure you’re in the right spot.

I came here pretty early in the morning and had it completely to myself, but if you come later in the day you might see more than you bargained for because this is actually a n**e beach! 🫢🫣

Oh and if you want a shot like the first one, bring your telephoto lens!

Would you visit this secret beach??

Live, Love, Lake Tahoe 🤩

I visited Lake Tahoe with a few months ago and captured some of my favorite shots ever with my drone!

Lake Tahoe 1000% lives up to the hype! It is absolutely this beautiful in real life, probably even more so. It’s easily one of the most amazing places I’ve ever seen, and I can’t wait to go back someday!

You have to explore Lake Tahoe from the water so don’t forget to rent a SUP from & a clear kayak from .wild.society

So are you team SUP or kayak??🤔

Trying to soak up the last of summer over the next few weeks!

I don’t have any trips planned for the rest of August, but I have a big one coming up in September that I’m super excited about. I’ll be visiting some old places and some new!

Would you rather swim with dolphins or sharks?? 🤔

If you visit the Bahamas, you can do both!

I swam with wild spotted dolphins and black tip sharks in Bimini, and I also got to see some nurse sharks when I was in Exuma.

Swimming with sharks is definitely a little scarier, but they’re super chill! The dolphins on the other hand were super crazy, and if they’re not feeling very interactive/playful it’s impossible to keep up with them. I have no clue how I snuck that last selfie!

Also, if you dream of swimming with dolphins, please visit them ethically in the wild instead of in captivity.

Is swimming with sharks or dolphins or BOTH on your bucket list?? 🦈🐬

What is SNUBA⁉️

SNUBA is the perfect cross between snorkeling and scuba diving. It’s also a great transition for those who have snorkeled before but aren’t quite ready to try scuba diving yet.

You breathe through a regulator (just like scuba diving), but instead of carrying the oxygen tanks on your bank, the regulator is attached to a line that receives air from a tank sitting on an inflatable raft on the ocean's surface.

Basically you’re pulling around a little boat that’s holding your air. It can go wherever you go.

SNUBA allows you to dive up to 20 feet below the ocean's surface!

So what do you think? Would you try SNUBA? Have you ever heard of it before? 🤿

The best place to swim with turtles? 🐢

Nope, this isn’t Hawaii. It’s Curaçao!

Curaçao is one of the ABC islands along with Aruba and Bonaire, and it’s where I saw TONS of turtles, both snorkeling and scuba diving. I probably saw over 30 turtles during my time in Curaçao. It was amazing! 🤩

I highly recommend booking a tour with because they’ll take you to Playa Piskado and take photos of you swimming with the turtles, then afterwards you visit Grote Knip - known as the best beach in Curaçao! 🏖️

Please respect the turtles and don't touch them! This spot can get crowded and a little hectic, and some people freak out. I saw others accidentally kicking or whacking the turtles. Thankfully they have those hard shells! Also, please don't participate in activities like this just for photos if you're not a good swimmer or can't stay calm. As you can see, the turtles are used to people & super friendly and might rub against you, but always remain calm and don't go out of your way to touch them. It can make them & you sick. 😷

Is swimming with turtles on your bucket list?? 🐢

The award for the most crowded place I’ve ever been goes to… the Trevi Fountain! 🥳

Here’s what no one tells you about the Trevi Fountain:

There are always people. It doesn’t matter if come at sunrise or 3am on a weekday. You won’t be alone, so patience is key!

There is a livestream video of this spot and you can check it 24/7 to see when it’s the least crowded.

Often times they put gates up, so you can’t even get near the fountain to throw a coin in and make a wish. I think this coincides with the soccer games, but I’m not 100% sure because no one seemed to know when I was there.

Even though half a dozen gelato shops surround the Trevi Fountain, you can’t eat gelato near it or you will get screamed at by an Italian security guard. 🙃

The Spanish steps are only a 10 minute walk away, and it’s not quite as chaotic there so make sure you check it out while you’re in the area!

What’s the most crowded place you’ve ever been??

Is this the prettiest town on the Amalfi Coast⁉️

Ravello is so unlike the other Amalfi Coast towns because you have to travel all the way up the hill through winding roads to get here, but once you arrive the views are SO worth it!

I wish I would have stayed in Ravello, but I highly recommend visiting for a half day at the very least.

While you’re here, make sure to visit the Villa Cimbrone Gardens (photos 1-3) and Villa Rufolo.

I also took a cooking class here with the famous Mama Agata. It was pricey, but I got to spend the afternoon learning Italian secrets and traditions from a beautiful property with an even better view (last photo).

My day in Ravello was easily my best day on the Amalfi Coast!

Have you been to Ravello yet? Don’t forget to add it to your Amalfi Coast itinerary!

Must know for a Positano beach day👇🏻

It’s a pebble beach, so bring water shoes if you want to want around and go in the water. It’s pretty painful if you go barefoot.😅

A chair costs about 20-25 euros pp, but this is MUCH cheaper than what you’ll pay at a beach club.

I recommend eating a big breakfast or dinner and going light on lunch - maybe just having some drinks and gelato or lemon sorbet because the restaurants right by the beach are overpriced but the quality is not good. I had one of the worst pizzas EVER right along the beach.

Positano is photogenic all day long! I took photos at sunrise, sunset, midday, and at night - and each was more picturesque than the last!

Rent a boat to explore the coast! The views are so pretty, and it’s a different way to see the sights.

Who wants to spend a day at one of the most iconic beaches in the world?? 🤩

A perfect day in Capri‼️

Capri is a little island in southern Italy. It’s a short ferry ride from the Amalfi Coast.

I visited Capri on a day trip from Sorrento, and it was one of my favorite days in Italy!

Here are some of the best things to do in Capri:

Take a boat trip around the island to see all the cool rock formations like the Tunnel of Love and to go inside the Blue Grotto.

Go shopping! Capri is famous for its high end shopping. I got some custom leather sandals made at the same place Jackie Kennedy got a pair.

Hang out at a beach club. La Fontelina is one of the most famous (although pretty pricey!).

Explore Ana Capri and take the Monte Solaro chair lift up to some amazing views.

Add Capri to your bucket list!!

How to spend 1 day in Rome👇🏻

If I only had ONE day in Rome, here’s what I would do:

Sunrise at the Trevi Fountain (it’s the only time you’ll get it with minimal crowds other than the middle of the night).

Take a short walk over to the Spanish Steps.

Walk to the Pantheon and grab a quick breakfast near here.

Grab a gelato at some point during the day! I recommend Giolitti’s because they put fresh whipped cream on top. 😍

Head over to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. They’re connected, so give yourself at least 2 hours to explore this area.

Tour the Colosseum, then stick around for sunset and to see it lit up at night.

Eat pizza or pasta for dinner to finish up your day, and maybe another gelato or tiramisu!

Hopefully you’ll have more than just one day in Rome, but it’s definitely doable to see most of the main sites in one busy day!

Tips for Rome‼️

🇮🇹 The most famous sights are the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Pantheon, and the Spanish Steps. Definitely plan to see them all, but you don’t need much time at any of them. It’s way more fun just walking around and getting lost in the streets of Rome.

💧 Bring a reusable water bottle. Rome is known for having thousands of water fountains scattered around the city. This water is clean and safe to drink, so this will save you SO much money on water. Download the app Nasoni to find these spots!

🍨 The best gelato is NOT the really colorful high stacks covered in toppings, but rather the gelato you can’t see covered by silver metal lids. My personal favorite is from Giolitti’s because they put fresh whipped cream on top!

🚖 Not sure if this is always the case, but when I was there the taxis were a lot cheaper than Ubers.

👟 Bring super comfortable walking shoes, a reliable crossbody purse, and a few coins to throw in the Trevi Fountain!

🍕 Look for places to eat that are a few blocks away from the main tourist sights because these will be cheaper and more authentic.

Have you been to Rome yet??

My biggest tip for Positano👇🏻

PLAN AHEAD‼️

If you’re visiting between May - September, I recommend making plans as early as possible.

I visited in late September, and even though I was making plans 3-4 months prior in May and June, lots of hotels and Airbnbs were already booked and I couldn’t get dinner or lunch reservations at any of the famous spots.

So if you’re planning to visit during peak season and have your heart set on specific hotels, restaurants, beach clubs, boat rides, cooking classes, photographers, vintage car rentals, etc. then I recommend planning at least 6 months in advance to ensure you get everything you want (although I recommend even more than this if you can).

Who has Positano and the Amalfi Coast on their bucket list??

Also sorry for the photo spam this was my favorite photoshoot ever 😂
