Indian Falls may not be the biggest waterfall in Plumas county but it is one of the prettiest!

It's an impressive, wide waterfall with a large pool (and sometimes a sandy beach). It’s a local favorite swimming hole for a good reason. The hike is short and a little steep, and it has interpretive signs about native plants in both Maidu and English. This would make a great picnic spot and photo opp before continuing on.

After leaving Indian Falls, the road continues to meander along the creek with vibrant green oaks and willows. You may peep some poppies and lupines in the fire scar along the canyon walls.

Bucks Lake Road is OPEN from Quincy all the way to the lake, and the Dogwoods are blooming along the way! Lakeshore Resort is currently open 11-8 Wednesday through Sunday with hours set to expand after Father's Day.
