Our first comment from our very first booking! These guys were so fun to get to know and amazing guests!

Dave and Sherie have hands down created our best AirBnb experience ever. To paint this picture, we have to explain the house, the location, and most importantly the hosts. The house was handcrafted by Dave and Sherie, a former general contractor and artist, respectively. All the material are of the highest quality and their attention to detail is noticeable in every aspect, even down to to the artistry on the light switches. The house is located on Dave and Sherie’s property. As soon as we pulled in, we were greeted by their dog, Greta, who was as sweet as can be. The cabin is tucked away surrounded by trees and mountain views, but only a short 5 min drive to town. It’s also a short walk away from Lost Lake Trailhead, easily one of the best and most beautiful hikes we’ve ever done. If you happen to take this trail, you’ll come upon a fork in the road for the summer and winter trail. We found the summer trail to be exceptionally beautiful. We hiked for 4 miles through beautiful fall landscapes, culminating with pastures and 360 mountain views, reminiscent of The Sound of Music. Dave and Sherie’s hospitality is easily what made this our best AirBnb experience. They take pride in everything they do and strive to make each experience personal and their guests welcomed. With each interaction you felt a warmth that you only normally get from family or close friends. Their friendliness and generosity was a refreshing change from the impersonal experiences that AirBnb has become. Our cabin was stocked with some great local artisanal products as well as eggs from their henhouse, and Sherie’s delicious homemade jam. To top it off, they offered us some salmon Dave had just caught along with a hand written recipe and some ingredients for cooking. We decided to make the salmon with the eggs for breakfast and eat it on a table outside with their delicious local coffee. Delicious food, beautiful nature on a cool crisp morning was the perfect start to our weekend. Thank you guys so much for everything!
