Archer's Cottage Holidays NO PETS, sorry! Hello! We are Paul and Judi Bowen, owners of Archer’s Cottage. A holiday haven that we recreated from what was once a Pig Sty!!

Archer's Cottage is a romantic barn conversion for two, ideally located in a remote position, which will appeal to couples who are looking for a peaceful retreat, while being within easy reach of everything Pembrokeshire has to offer. Our story begins with a need to change our lives, after Judi became disabled. We knew that we would need to move from Hampshire in order to bring our plans to fruiti

on, and so started exploring other parts of the UK, but it wasn’t until we ventured into Wales for the first time, that we began to believe that we could make our dreams come true. We fell in love with Pembrokeshire, and after a couple of weekends spent house hunting here, sold up and moved to our dream home in the country in March of 2016. Judi says: “When we first moved here, I was terrified that the house might be too remote for me, but after a bit of exploring, I discovered that my little piece of heaven, while seeming to be in the middle of nowhere, was actually within a 15 to 40 minute drive of everything that I could need, including some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Hint: Try visiting Barafundle Bay which is regularly voted as one of the most beautiful beaches in Wales, if not the world, and was used as the main setting for 2010 film Third Star, featuring Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch, written by Pembrokeshire-born, Vaughan Sivell. Archer’s Cottage:
Is located in the grounds of our own home, and while the old expression has it that ‘you can’t turn a pig’s ear into a silk purse’, we’ve done our best to turn a pig sty into a fabulous luxury home from home. When we decided to open the cottage for letting, we gave a lot of thought to the things we would like, and would hope to find, if we were going away for a long weekend or a ‘staycation’. To this end you will find not only a fully equipped kitchen, gorgeous bathroom, and woodburning stove to keep you cosy during a winter break, but also quality bed linens, together with the smaller, but possibly even more important touches, like a wooly throw to wrap around you when you want to sit and star gaze from the balcony, a picnic basket for a day out in the countryside, hot water bottles, in case you suffer from cold feet, or feel a little off colour during your stay, and a First Aid kit for those little emergencies. However, if you find ANYTHING that you feel would add to the experience when you are here, do please let us know, as we’re always open to new ideas.

I just signed the campaign calling on Avanti West Coast to give back their bonuses. Will you join me?

For those of you who have followed us over the years, we just wanted to let you know that due to ill health, we have had to sell Archer's Cottage, and it is no longer available as a holiday let.

Thank you to all those who chose Archer's Cottage for their holiday.

Best Wishes

Judi & Paul
