When is the best time to go to a Disney park? There are some obvious peak times like holiday season and whenever schools are out on break.
I would typically avoid these times of year but my sons birthday falls within spring break so we had no choice but to go (I took my daughter for her 1st birthday so I thought it would only be fair to take him for his 1st birthday as well). We arrived at 9am and did 5 storybook rides within ONE hour. Then Mickeys Runaway Railway was only 30 minutes midday 🤯🤯🤯 was it a fluke? Some birthday luck? Who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️ I was so anxious because I was expecting a huge crowd and LONG wait times but was pleasantly surprised. I’d say if you have little kids and don’t want them to wait in lines for very long then try to get to the parks EARLY!
If you can’t avoid peak time and dreading the experience… try to stay positive 🥰 you may be surprised

One of the questions I see a lot is …What is the best age to take a child on a cruise? And I think it will always be different for everyone because each age has its challenges and every child is different. Some people say wait until they are older so they can remember but honestly there are times where my parents took my somewhere when I was OLDER and I still don’t remember. Is there a better chance that they will remember? Maybe🤷🏽‍♀️ so I wouldn’t go by age. I have taken my kids at 6 months, 1 year and 1.5. As my daughter got older I noticed she would recognize characters more. One thing is for sure though… if I’m going on vacation with littles then cruising is the way since it’s so convenient to have the room close by just in case the kids need a break ^_^

One of the best things I bought at Disneyland was an autograph book where you can put a picture beside the characters autograph 🥰 I thought my daughter might be too young at just 2.5 years old but she LOVED it!!! Every time she saw a character she would grab her book and hand it to them. I would highly recommend getting a larger pen for non face characters 😊

We tried out Toadstool Cafe at Universal Studios Hollywood and it was better than I expected! Overall the atmosphere and service was easily a 10/10. The theming was just so spot on and even the food looked too cute to eat. Out of all the things I tried the Fire
Flower spaghetti was my favorite along with the Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knots.

Something that I thought that was really cool is that you get to keep the mushroom bowl that the soup comes in. They also give you a ? Block to put it in 😍😍😍

Tip: Make sure you keep your receipt when you order a souvenir cup! First refill is free and then I believe it was a $1.50 for future refills. When you go in for a refill they will KEEP the original receipt. So if you’re splitting a tab make sure you take a picture of it 😅

Since I’m not at Mardi Gras at Universal Stuidos Orlando I thought I’d reminisce to the time that we were 🥰🥰🥰 it is such a fun event where you can indulge at multiple booths and catch beads as the floats pass by. If you’d like to experience this event then you still have time! Ends April 7th 🎉

For parents with young children - don’t feel like you’ll miss out on the thrill rides! universal offers child swap and that is when one parent waits in line and rides the attraction.. then the other parent can ride but does NOT have to wait in line again. Each ride will be different so make sure ask the attendant at the front of each attraction. Sometimes they will have a waiting room so you won’t be standing in the heat 🙂

Things I’ve learned about traveling with 2 littles

Pack snacks on snacks on snacks ESPECIALLY if you have a picky eater. Don’t depend on the little bags they give you on board.

Keep stroller with you until you board plane. Make sure to stop at the airline desk to let them know you’ll need the stroller at your next stop so they can tag it appropriately.

If you’d like some screen time do distract them then you’ll need some headphones. Let them practice at home so they can get used to it by the time it’s time to fly.

TSA allows liquids if child will be using it. We took water and milk for our kids and they just have to check it thoroughly before handing back the diaper bag.

2yr+ need their own seat.

Traveling with car seats and strollers? Consider a compact travel dolly. This saved us!!! We had 2 car seats, 1 stroller, duffle bag full of diapers, and 2 large luggages. Not to mention baby in carrier while toddler either held my hand or the handle of a luggage.
