For any spectators we'll have refreshments available and a club display in the Seafront Centre showcasing the last 10 years. We look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks!

We were blessed with what is now a rare day of sunny and calm conditions. Although the loch is a bit cooler we have some 5mm wetsuits which kept everyone warm and toasty.

It was a beautiful morning for a private lesson at the loch last weekend. Melanie had never paddle boarded before but was more than happy to get stuck in and try everything I threw at her!

TYKES is a great local charity, and it’s also where Rhionna (business owner), Denise & Steffi (coaches) work in their day jobs.

Today we led a guided walk to the crash site of the RAF Short Sunderland which crashed on exercise, on 15th August 1944 in Glen Loth. All 15 crew were killed.
The memorial plaque was erected in 2019 by a team of locals, including John Macleod, and we were glad to be asked by his family to take them to see this plaque and the site.
The Gaelic inscription at the bottom of the plaque reads;
‘The falling of the rain is the glen crying for you’
On Monday we had the pleasure of welcoming young local and American golfers for paddleboarding at Loch Brora. It was great to be able to introduce both visitors and locals to the area, and provide a fun activity for them in between their week of golfing 🏌️♂️🏴🇺🇸
16 of them headed out with our MegaSUP and standard paddleboards, spending time paddling, pushing each other in and jumping off! We even had the sun come out ☀️

When conditions allow, we love to paddle at the river Brora 🌳💦🏄🏽♂️ there’s only a few hours around the high tide that make it possible to paddle on and up under the bridges.
We’ve spotted otters, seals, ducks, salmon, jellyfish, weasels and heron at the river. Plus the many midgies at times 🦟🦟

What a great time we had for this couple’s first ever paddleboarding experience. Their aim was to stand, and they definitely nailed that!
Conditions started off flat calm, progressing through to very breezy. This is actually ideal, because you get to experience what it’s like in different conditions and learn how to deal with them.
We’ve plenty of space this week for lessons and hires, availability is on our website. Some space for hires tomorrow (Wednesday), message to enquire as online booking is now closed for tomorrow.

The MegaSUP is a monster of a board, comfortably fitting 8 adults. This weekend it made an outing with a group of teenage boys, so you can imagine just how quickly the first person was pushed in! 💦🤪

Glen Loth walk to the site of the 1944 Royal Air Force Short Sunderland S25 Seaplane DP197 which crashed while on exercise on 15th August 1944, killing all 15 on board. The walk, although short, is lovely. We came across lots of interesting plants and wildlife on the way to the site and experienced the best of Scottish summer with pouring rain followed by blazing sunshine 30 minutes later.
