🛩 Take a stroll along the seafront in Silloth and look out for the Hudson Model Aircraft just opposite the RAFA.

The replica Lockheed Hudson has recently undergone restoration and can be found on the green.

It was originally unveiled on 1st April 2018 to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Royal Air Force and the town's involvement in WW2.

Apprentices at Gen2, the Cumbrian training provider at Lillyhall, constructed the replica Lockheed Hudson and gifted it to the people of Silloth.

Pop over next time you visit and get a photo or two with hopefully some sunshine too.

🤔Why book direct?????

Imagine booking your dream family holiday, you pack up your stuff, head off with lots of excitement. You travel for hours, you are tired, the kids are grumpy and grandma wants the loo.

When you get there, you can't find the keysafe number, you know you had it...but where is it????

The pressure is on and you start to sweat...the family is complaining, grandma is hopping around and the dog is chewing the bars of the crate.

If you have booked with an agent, now the fun begins as you try to contact them, search for an email, send out smoke signals, hope the door opens all on its own.

This is just one of the many scenarios I read about where a holiday is ruined, and let's face it, holidays are precious and we don't get enough of them.

🏤This is no ordinary post office...this is a Silloth Post Office...

Visit Winters during your stay at Seabreeze, and you won't be disappointed.

You can do all your post office needs, such as sending parcels and buying stamps, you can safely withdraw cash from the counter and you can also grab those all important souvenirs.

Why not order any parcel deliveries for your stay to the post office and collect them at your convenience instead of having to be in when you want to be out having fun.

But it doesn't stop there!!! You can also take a seat in Bessie's Diner and enjoy coffee and cake, waffles and milkshakes or tea and a toastie.

Choose a table by the window and watch the world go by as you relax.

We must praise the service in this fabulous post office as we are always made to feel so welcome and at home from the moment we step through the door and nothing is ever too much trouble.

Amazing News!!! Winter's is doggo friendly too, so pop in with the furry ones, get comfy in one of the doggo friendly booths and enjoy all that Bessie's has to offer with the furry one at your side.

This is my view today 🥳

Waking after a great night’s sleep at Seabreeze, we have been treated to a bit of sunshine.

It’s beautiful here today and I am enjoying a cuppa in the armchair watching the sea.

It doesn’t get any better than this.

We are in Silloth for the weekend, bringing supplies and catching up with our housekeepers, and it seems that the weather approves 🌞.

This is the first time we have stayed at Seabreeze since opening and I am finding it to be peaceful and homely, with stunning views everytime you look out of the window.

Maisie is very happy, as her favourite walk across the green is just outside the front door.

It’s a busy day today with a morning over at Seagreen, and then an afternoon of jobs at Seabreeze before a special evening out at The Bank of Silloth.

Catch up with you soon, off to relax in the garden in the sun for a bit..

⛳️ A warning about the bunkers, there are many and they are a challenge. Gary was lucky on this occasion to get out on his first attempt, but usually the air is blue and the bunker wins the battle.

🥰 Holidays are better than work...

🌊 Silloth seafront is only moments from the front door.

🌊 Take the peaceful walk, all the way from the port, past the lifeboat station, on to the amusement arcade and up to the Big Fella.

🌊 Stop off for doughnuts and ice cream, relax on a bench over-looking the sea and take in the view over to Scotland.

🌊 Take rackets or a ball for a game of tennis or footy or let the little ones enjoy the BMX tack.

🌊 Continue along the promenade to Skinburness and check out the lighthouse.

🌊 For those who want a challenge, take the walk all the way to Grune point and enjoy the peace.

🌊 On a day when you want to stay in your pjs or maybe the weather isn't great, just take a seat next to the window at Seabreeze and watch the sea from the comfort of the cottage.

🍻 Silloth Pub Crawl...

Start off at the edge of town and pop into The RAFA. Pay your 50p entrance fee, sign in and then relax. From real ales, spirits and a homely atmosphere, you will be warmed up and ready for a great night in no time.

Next is the Balmoral Silloth , where you enjoy music, laughter and great conversation. Get into the party mood and maybe catch some footy.

Moving on to Sugar - Bar & Street Food , order a few cocktails, let your hair down and maybe have a dance to some live music. In warmer months, sit outside and enjoy the view over the green.

Time to slow down a bit, and treat yourself to a cocktail at The Golf Hotel Silloth and watch the world go by from a table by the window.

Pop round the corner to the Albion Inn for a game of darts or some live music. Only just opened so pay them a visit and say hi.

For those who have played golf, pop into the clubhouse and relax with a few drinks as you watch the golfers finish their game.

Finish your pub tour with a few in The Cumberland, enjoy a game of pool, catch the footie, relax in the beer garden or just prop up the bar and chat to the locals.

Silloth is blessed to have so many pubs, so you don't have to get into a car, working out who is the designated driver or catching a taxi, just walk out the front door and see where you reach first.

🌊 Head south along the coast to Mawbray and explore the quiet beach. Stop off at The Lowther Arms Mawbray for a family meal, dog friendly too so the furry one can join you, and then relax as the children enjoy the play park.

🌊 Travel further to Allonby, with its dog friendly Allonby Tearoom and Gift Shop , quiet beach and dog friendly The Ship Hotel Allonby . Take a seat outside Jacks Surf Bar Costa Allonby , and watch the world go by, or pick up a sandwich at Wisher’s Of Allonby . We recommend a visit to The Moody Cow. Allonby farm shop before going home. There's even the Twentymans Ice Cream shop for a treat.

🌊 Then it's Maryport, with Lake District Coast Aquarium, Maryport where you can search for Nemo and his friends, enjoy crazy golf and pop into the Harboursde Café, Lake District Coast Aquarium, Maryport for tea and cake. The children can enjoy the pirate ship play park and then the family can go to The lifeboat Inn for food.

🌊 Head to Workington for some retail therapy, or catch a film at the cinema, continue on to Whitehaven with its harbour, dine in the Wellington Bistro or visit the Beacon Museum.

🌊 Stop at St Bees, with its magnificent mile long, sandy beach for paddling and sandcastle building. There's also a children's play area, pubs for a spot of lunch and spectacular views.

🌊 Head north from Silloth and stop off at Grune point. Seek out the little hut hidden in trees or just enjoy the rugged coastline.

🌊 Our final suggestion, is a visit to Bowness on Solway, north of Silloth. A 30 minute drive away, here you will find the end of Hadrian's wall, and the dog friendly King's Arms pub.

The Bank of Silloth Tapas Restaurant...

💃Sitting in the heart of town, this authentic Tapas restaurant is hosted by the most amazing chef, Lucy and her family.

💃Our important advice would be to book in advance as this restaurant is incredibly popular. They are open from Wednesday to Sunday - evenings only.

💃We advise you to order about 2-3 dishes per person and then share in true Tapas style.

💃Our personal recommendation would be the meatballs, or why not order a Paella (this needs to be ordered 24 hours in advance).

💃For drinks, they offer an exceptional wine selection plus their cocktails are a must and why not finish your evening with a liqueur coffee.

💃Make sure you leave room for dessert. Their waffles are delicious and their churros are divine, order both and share.

💃This fabulous restaurant has a distinct holiday atmosphere and you could easily believe you are in Spain, enjoying a relaxing evening out with family and friends.

Don't just take our word for it, book a table for your stay and let us know what you think.

Sadly The Bank is not dog friendly, but if your furry one is well walked and safely crated you can enjoy a few hours out whilst your furry one takes a snooze.

So when you check our availability calendar, you may see some reserved dates. These are pending payment of a deposit, but don’t be disheartened, we do keep a waiting list for these reserved dates and can contact you if the dates are released.

🐶 Dog friendly all year round, and quiet even in summer. The furry ones can run and sniff, paddle and explore.

👧 The little ones can build sandcastles, find pebbles and paddle in the sea.

🥪 Take along a picnic when the weather is warm or pop over in the evening and watch the sunset, build a campfire and relax.

🚗 Can't make the walk, then drive down to the car-park and then make your way to the beach.
