The Temple of Horus
Edfu's temple or Horus temple is one of the Ptolemy Dynasty's most impressive feats of construction and due to its youth built in the 2nd Century BC it's also one of Egypt's best preserved temples. Here, the looming sandstone walls are covered in giant hieroglyphics and dazzling friezes that ape the patriotic decorations of earlier pharaohs. Within its vast chambers, strolling under colossal gateways and wandering ant-like through its hallways that seem to be have been created for giants, you really get a feel for the all encompassing power of Egypt's rulers.

Philae Temple, Aswan, Egypt
Built to honour the goddess Isis, this was the last temple built in the classical Egyptian style. Construction began around 690 BC, and it was one of the last outposts where the goddess was worshipped. The cult of Isis continued here until at least AD 550.
The walls of the temples at Philae are covered in ancient hieroglyphs. Amongst the large carvings of the gods of Ancient Egypt are the inscriptions in the ornate pictorial alphabet, telling the stories of this civilisation.

The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut is a resting place for the Queen. It is also a memorial temple that worships and honours Queen Hatshepsut. The geographical location, on the west bank of the River Nile, is significant. It’s not only facing the city of Luxor but it also marks the entrance to the Valley of the Kings. This puts the temple at the heart of the ancient capital Thebes. Consequently, the Queen is eternally placed in the minds of the Egyptian people. Strategically, Hatshepsut found a way to always reign over Egypt. Locals, traders, visitors and descendent kings or queens would always have her enduring presence of wisdom, power and insight.

King Tutankhamun Treasury
King Tutankhamun ruled Egypt as pharaoh for 10 years until his death at age 19, around 1324 B.C. Although his rule was notable for reversing the tumultuous religious reforms of his father, Pharaoh Akhenaten, Tutankhamun’s legacy was largely negated by his successors. He was barely known to the modern world until 1922, when British archaeologist Howard Carter chiseled through a doorway and entered the boy pharaoh’s tomb, which had remained sealed for more than 3,200 years. The tomb’s vast hoard of artifacts and treasure, intended to accompany the king into the afterlife, revealed an incredible amount about royal life in ancient Egypt, and quickly made King Tut the world’s most famous pharaoh.

The Temple of Kom Ombo is an unusual double temple in the town of Kom Ombo in Aswan , Upper Egypt. It was constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty, 180–47 BC.Some additions to it were later made during the Roman period. The building is unique because its 'double' design meant that there were courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two sets of gods.was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world with Hathor and Khonsu. Meanwhile, the northern part of the temple was dedicated to the falcon god Haroeris ("Horus the Elder"), along "with Tasenetnofret (the Good Sister, a special form of Hathor or Tefnet/Tefnut) and Panebtawy (Lord of the Two Lands) The temple is atypical because everything is perfectly symmetrical along the main axis.

Karnak is an ancient Egyptian temple precinct located on the east bank of the Nile River in Thebes (modern-day Luxor). It covers more than 100 hectares, an area larger than some ancient cities.
Construction at Karnak started by 4,000 years ago and continued up until the time the Romans took control of Egypt, about 2,000 years ago. Each Egyptian ruler who worked at Karnak left his or her own architectural mark.

The Great Temple at Abu Simbel, which took about twenty years to build, was completed around year 24 of the reign of Ramesses the Great (which corresponds to 1265 BC). It was dedicated to the gods Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah, as well as to the deified Ramesses himself. It is generally considered the grandest and most beautiful of the temples commissioned during the reign of Ramesses II, and one of the most beautiful in Egypt.
