A collection of my favorite 2023 memories 🩵

These aren’t my best travel photos or most impressive places I visited 🥲

Just pictures that make my heart happy!

2023 was a year of family, Frankie, friends, and a little travel mixed in 🥣

My husband and I went on an impromptu trip to Hawaii where we had some of the most incredible dive experiences ever 🤿 🐢🐠

It was also our first year with Frankie 🐶 so there was a lot of staying home, swimming in the pool, and taking him on the boat 🛥️ 🌊

Got to see Blink 182 not once but TWICE!! Once with my best friend and sister & brother in law. Then again with my husband at with all my other 2000s pop punk favorites 🎶

More scuba diving back in the Keys 🔑🌴 manifesting more Keys trips in 2024!

Also had some amazing girls trips - a quick weekend in Atlanta and then celebrating my best friend’s 30th bday in CROATIA 🇭🇷

It was amazing being back in Europe, eating fresh pastries 🥐 & drinking Aperol spritzes with every meal 🍹

Oh and seeing tons of Game of Thrones film locations in real life 🐉⚔️

Finished off the year with a birthday visit to Disney World for Very Merry Christmas 🎄 with my wonderful family which was absolutely magical 🐭🪄

Then to Colorado for a Christmas getaway where I got to snowboard again and had a fabulous time 🏂

I also started reading again & remembered how much joy it brings me 📖

And on top of all that, this year was huge for me and my little side hustle. I worked with some amazing travel brands and got PAID to share content. I smashed my blogging goals and had a fabulous hosted hotel stay in Hawaii! 💻

I didn’t focus as much on social media after deciding to go all in on my blog, and I am finally starting to make money from it! 💵

Overall, I learned how to focus on the things that bring me joy, and it’s going swimmingly 🥹

Thank you to everyone who has supported me and made this life so sweet! 🩵 can’t wait to see what 2024 brings!

Let’s bring photos back!!! 🤪

Here’s a collection of my favorite photos from my trip to Oahu this time last year! 📸

I was there for my 9-5 but got to spend evenings and the weekend exploring every bit of this amazing island 🌺

Here’s how I would spend 3 days on Oahu!

Day 1️⃣:
Visit the Pearl Harbor National Memorial 🇺🇸
Explore Waikiki Beach 🏝️
Go on a Sunset Cruise 🌅

Day 2️⃣:
Explore Mānoa Falls Trail 💦
Visit the Famous Kualoa Ranch 🦖
Watch the surfers and hit the food trucks on North Shore 🏄🏼‍♀️

Day 3️⃣:
Hike Diamond Head or Koko Crater 🌋
Snorkel at Hanauma Bay 🤿
Luau or Sunset Dinner 🌸

Add whale watching if you’re visiting in the winter! 🐳

If you’re looking for more, I have a full blog post on this topic! 💻

Ultimate Bali Travel Guide🌺🌿🇮🇩

Bali is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been - even if it was kinda a pain to get to😅😅

Here’s a mini guide to help you plan your trip!

Make sure to SAVE this post for later if you ever plan on visiting Bali 😍

📆 I recommend at least a week on this beautiful island!
✈️ there is one airport on the island - Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS)
🌺 the island is about ~2000 square miles and would take you about 3 hours to get from one side to the other, so it’s not a huge island!
🚙 you can hire private drivers for less than $100 a day! I recommend this over renting your own car
🌱 Ubud is the cultural hub of Bali with beautiful rice terraces, waterfalls. temples, jungle, and more
🏝️ head to Seminyak or Uluwatu for all the best beaches and beautiful sunrises!
🧊 you should not drink the tap water in Bali
🕉️ although the rest of Indonesia is predominantly Muslim, most Balinese are Hindu!
🗣️ people speak Balinese & Indonesia, but most also speak English in the touristy areas
💴 the currency is the Rupiah. $1 USD is approximately 15,000 rupiah
💉 check with the CDC for what vaccines are recommended before visit Bali!

Make sure to check out my full Bali itinerary on the blog to help plan your trip! ✈️

Game of Thrones Film Locations in Dubrovnik (Part 2)🎥

Lokrum Island ➡️ Qarth Gardens
A quick ferry ride from Dubrovnik will take you to the beautiful Lokrum Island. HBO rented out this entire island to film the Qarth garden scenes! This is a great place to spend a morning swimming and hiking 🌿

City Walls ➡️ King’s Landing
Not a specific “location” per se, but walking the City Walls will give you incredible views of Dubrovnik that will instantly transport you to King’s Landing. Many scenes were filmed along the city walls, like when Tyrion and Varys plan the Battle of Blackwater at Fort Bokar. Also (featured here) the famous bells from THAT episode of season 8 🔥🐉

West Harbor ➡️ Blackwater Bay
I featured this in Part 1, but here’s another view! This view and doors were featured in Season 2, Episode 1 when the City watch hunts down all of King Robert’s bastards.

Trsteno Arboretum ➡️ Tyrell Gardens in King’s Landing
Not technically in Dubrovnik, but 30 minutes outside, is Trsteno Arboretum! This gorgeous spot was used to film all of the scenes with the Tyrell family and Sansa. It’s worth a stop if you’re a GoT fan! 🌸🌺

⭐️ BONUS SPOTS (not featured in these pictures) ⭐️

Ploče Gate ➡️ Entrance to Red Keep
Opposite from Pile Gate, Ploče Gate was used as the entrance to the Red Keep when Cersei returns from her Walk of Shame! It’s featured in other episodes throughout the show as well.

Rector’s Palace ➡️ Spice King’s Home
When Daenerys is in Qarth, she visits the home of the Spice King asking for ships. This scene was filmed inside Rector’s Palace!

Gradac Park ➡️ The Purple Wedding
Gradac Park is right next to Fort Lovrijenac and is a great place to visit to get out of the city. It’s where Joffrey and Margaery’s wedding was filmed, aka the Purple Wedding😉

Make sure to SAVE this post for later and follow for more Croatia posts!🩵🫶🏼

Game of Thrones Film Locations in Dubrovnik(Part 1)🎥

If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you need to visit Dubrovnik, Croatia 🇭🇷

Dubrovnik served as King’s Landing in the series from Seasons 2-8, and you can visit a ton of famous scenes in real life ‼️

Here’s a breakdown of all the Game of Thrones film locations in Dubrovnik👇🏼

1. Minčeta Tower ➡️ House of the Undying
In the season 2 finale, Daenerys’s dragons get stolen while in Qarth, and she visited the House of the Undying to get them back. The exterior shot of her running around the tower before getting sucked in was filmed at Minčeta Tower, which you can visit along the Dubrovnik city walls!

2. West Harbor ➡️ Blackwater Bay
This area of Dubrovnik was iconic in the GoT series and featured in a ton of episodes. It serves as the famous Blackwater Bay, where Myrcella was sent off to Dorne, where Sansa visits to watch the ships, and where the Stark children say goodbye in the finale!

3. Fort Lovrijenac ➡️ The Red Keep
Right next to the West Harbor is the famous Fort Lovrijenac. Not only is the exterior shown many times throughout the series, several scenes were filmed inside the fort. The most famous are scenes with Cersei threatening Littlefinger (iconic) and Joffrey’s name day in Season 2 Episode 1.

4. Jesuit Stairs ➡️ Cersei’s Walk of Shame
Probably the most famous spot in Dubrovnik, the “Walk of Shame” stairs are actually the Jesuit stairs that lead to a real church. They are tucked away in Old Town Dubrovnik!

5. Pile Gate ➡️ Flea Bottom
If you visit Dubrovnik, you’ll pass through the Pile Gate to get into Old Town many times. This entrance was used in Season 2 Episode 6 when Joffrey and crew get attacked by commoners after Myrcella gets sent to Dorne.

The best way to visit all of these locations AND hear incredible behind the scenes stories about filming is to go on a Game of Thrones tour with 🙌🏼

Check out the link in my bio for the exact tour we did, and make sure to follow for PART 2!! 🖤

What’s your ideal type of vacation?

As we are heading to Hawaii and booking some activities, I realize my travel pace is kinda intense!!

I’m sure most people go to Hawaii to sit by the pool or at the beach the whole time - which I am ironically doing in this photo 🤪

We are planning to scuba dive (twice - one during the day and one with MANTA RAYS), go hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, and more! 🤿

We’re planning one chill day so my husband can golf and I can go to the 🧖‍♀️⛳️

Otherwise it’s going to be go go go😂

So what’s your typical travel pace look like?!

31/03/2023

Is Thailand worth the time off? ⏰

YES IT IS!

I know a lot of people with full time jobs are hesitant about taking longer trips to distant countries.

Flying to Asia from the US is a commitment! 20+ hours of travel is no joke.

So when you visit a place like Thailand, I recommend going for at least 10 days, which I get is a lot!

But I promise it’s so so worth it🥰

And it’s really not so bad. If you plan it right, you can squeeze in a 10 day trip by only taking a week off work if you factor in weekends, and maybe even a holiday🤪

Here is how I recommend spending 10 days in Thailand:

Have you ever swam in a Florida spring before? 💧

Florida is home to over 700 natural springs, which is more than anywhere else in the world!

The springs produce crystal clear, 72°F water year round, making them perfect for snorkeling and diving 🤿

A lot of people come to Florida for the beaches or the theme parks, but the springs are one of my favorite parts about living in Florida!!

You can find springs all around central, west, and northern Florida! Each one is unique 😍

My favorites are Devil’s Den (where we got scuba certified!) and Ginnie Springs!!

Have you ever been to a spring before?!

Getting scuba certified has been on my bucket list since before I even had a bucket list 🤿

Both of my parents have been certified since the 80s and have dove around the world together. They raised my sister and I with a deep love of the ocean and spoiled us with some amazing tropical vacations 💙🌊

But for some reason, I waited until I was 25 to get certified! Honestly not sure what took me so long.. It is definitely a financial and time commitment and I always just put it off.

But two years ago, I finally took the plunge and got certified with my husband right before our honeymoon! I’m lucky he also has a love for the sea - and it was an amazing experience to do together.

Now, our goal is to dive at least twice a year, preferably in a new location! And of course - diving the Great Barrier Reef is at the top of the list! 🇦🇺🤿

Is getting scuba certified on your bucket list, or have you already checked it off?! If you have, what’s your favorite place to dive? 🐠

WHAT A WEEK😅

I could not be more happy it’s Friday… this week was ROUGH.

Sometimes having a full time job + a side passion can feel next to impossible.

I barely worked on my blog this week. I barely posted on Instagram. I barely had time to do anything but work, eat and sleep.

But I really wouldn’t change it for the world 🫶🏼

My full time job allows me to travel the world!! And I get to share those travels with you all 🌍

It’s all about perspective 😍

I’m very happy it’s Friday though☀️

What are your plans this weekend?!
