After exploring our last monument of Orchha, the Royal Chattris, we started our journey towards home (Punjab). For a convenient stop over, we chose Agra. It was a 250 km drive till Agra that took us around 6 hours with a lunch break and we reached Agra just after sunset. To end our trip on a high, we chose to stay at Grand Mercure Agra for a dose of luxury. We had a great family time while dining on the rooftop. Next morning, we took a dip in the pool, had a complementary breakfast and headed home. It was a 12 hours drive, covering approx 700 Kms and we safely reached home by late night with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Day5

We woke to a beautiful morning in Orchha. After having breakfast, we went out to explore Orchha fort complex, which includes Raja Mahal & Jahangir Mahal. These are beautiful palace complexes takes one back in time and are well preserved. Jahangir Mahal in particular shows some remarkable details in architecture and ornamentation. Thereafter, we went to Chatturbhuj Temple, which is adjacent to the famous Raja Ram Temple complex. Chattubhuj temple is built on small hillock and has an imposing structure and its probably the tallest monument of Orchha. Later, we explored the beautiful Royal Chhatris of Orchha after checking out of our hotel.

We checked out of our stay in Jhansi after having breakfast and headed to our next destination- Orchha. It was not a long drive, but we had to take some treacherous roads due to construction. After checking in our stay MPT Betwa Retreat, we relaxed for a while and explored the beautiful property. Ravneet wasn’t feeling well, so she stayed at the hotel, meanwhile we went out to explore beautiful Lakshmi Temple. This unique shaped temple is known for its beautiful paintings which depicts contemporary history of the time. Later, we went to Betwa ghat for the sunset, saw beautifully lit Royal Chhatris and then headed back to the hotel.

Day3
We started our day in Bhedaghat with a boat ride in the magical white marble Narmada Valley. Amusing commentary of the Helmsman made this boat ride a fun ride. Later we checked out of our hotel and headed to the oldest heritage site of Bhedaghat- a 10th century Chausath Yogini Temple. It’s located on a hilltop and has a unique round outer boundary which hosts 64 Yogini statues. Thereafter, we took a ropeway ride across Dhuandhar waterfall to experience arial views of this magical waterfall and marble valley. Before heading out for our next destination- Jhansi, we also did some marble souvenir shopping. After a 7 Hrs drive, we reached Jhansi by 7:30 PM to watch the mesmerising laser show at Jhansi fort. It was the best light and sound show that we have ever watched. Finally we reached our stay Natraj Sarovar Portico, Jhansi and called it a night

After having an adventurous outing in Pench Tiger Reserve in the morning, we checked out of Olive Resorts Pench and headed to our next destination - Bhedaghat, popular for its white marble valley and Dhuandhar Waterfall. It was a 200 kms smooth drive and to complement it was a pleasant cloudy weather. We stopped for lunch at a MPT restaurant, Midway Treat Lakhandon and reached Bhedaghat in the evening. After checking into our stay, MPT Marble Rocks, we headed to the waterfall. We enjoyed spending some time at the waterfall watching the Narmada river gushing down the marble valley.

An early morning safari was booked for today from Turia Gate of Pench Tiger reserve. It was 10 mins from our resort - Olive resorts. Resort had packed our breakfast and offered us tea before leaving. It started drizzling just after we entered the gate. It was an amazing experience to explore jungle in such a pleasant weather, although it wasn’t ideal for any big cat sighting. We tried our luck after having breakfast in the middle of jungle but couldn’t spot any big cat even after a couple of close calls. After spending first half of the day in nature, we checked out of our resort and headed to our next destination- Bhedaghat

Day 1

We kick started our MP roadtrip from Nagpur and our first destination was the land of Mowgli - Pench National Park. It was a two and a half hours pleasant drive and we reached our stay - Olive resorts in the afternoon. We had stayed in this property earlier also and this property is amazing especially their family cottages. We kept the day light for having a quality family time and enjoying the property.

We started our most awaited road trip with Kuljinder’s sister and brother in law. We picked them from Nagpur Airport and stayed overnight in Nagpur before embarking upon MP road trip. Stay tuned for the whole journey 🤗
