Natural Kirklees will be at Beaumont Park on Monday, pop by to see us.

Monday 8th May 12-4 throughout the Park there will be lot's going on. J B Goode will be playing on the Bandstand from 1.30pm, it's Kirklees Year of Music, Belly Dancers will be looking for people to join in from 12-30pm by the Bandstand. Fun Fair, Craft Stalls, Face Painter, Classic Cars, our Catering Van and Food Stall will be offering Burgers/Hot Dogs, Samosas, Bacon, Sausage, Homemade Cakes and Hot and Cold drinks, (all at last years prices), Plus a fantastic Dog Show.
Visitors Centre will be open from 11.30am for a full range of refreshments, Bacon, Sausage, Egg Sandwiches + cold sandwiches and Samosas, Drinks and Homemade Cakes.
Weather is not looking too good early on but it's an improving picture🤞So come along and help support beautiful Beaumont Park.

Author Christina Longden will be hosting an informal drop-in session to help you put your thoughts/memories/feelings into words. Local Studies will provide a peep into the fascinating history of the building and community. Have a cup of tea, and take a nostalgic walk through the building while you reminisce and jot down your thoughts. Contributions will be complied into a book for future generations to enjoy.

This we're saying a big thank you to all the volunteers who help us protect and improve Marsden Moor – from our ranger and survey volunteers, to the woodworking and plant groups who raise thousands in sales each year to fund our work.

This year our volunteers have put in more than 5,000 hours, planting thousands of moss plugs, fixing footpaths, and litter picking. Our survey group have had their work delving into the moor's carbon-storing capabilities featured in the media. And the Community Fire Watch scheme has seen members of the local community help us identify and tackle fire risks.

We're very grateful to everyone for your support and hard work! 👏
