Final days!!
Yesterday we went to Skagen and enjoyed the town and the beautiful sea. Kids got some great pictures and got to enjoy the refreshing water. The seafood is so tasty as well! They also got to be in their “plain clothes”- it was hard recognizing some of them without sns gear!
Then we started packing up for our last night in the cabins and long adventure home. Boys had a “longest plank” challenge and Sebass was the winner of the random ball- goofballs!
Had an early wake up call to clean and catch a bus to Copenhagen, then a flight to Philadelphia, and finally arriving in Dallas. Kids are so excited to see their families, but are also so sad to leave their new friends. They will keep in touch for sure, and hopefully some see each other throughout the year and again next July!

Getting close to the end of the tour. Today we had some free time in the city to do some shopping and enjoying the nice weather. Then we came back to the cabins, got ready, and went to Bone’s for our nice dinner. They dress up nicely!!
We said goodbye to Herman and Gustav as well as some of our campsite Aussie mates. Tears were shed, but we hope to see them next year!

A very rainy day in Hjørring- poured on and off all day. Girls played in the B bracket Final- in a mud pit- and all of the boys came and supported. Cheering, chanting, singing the entire game. It was a great atmosphere and lots of fun for everyone. Girls came up short with a hard 1-0 loss, but so proud of them for making it to the championship!
Kids got some free time afterward to swim, shop, nap etc. Then we all came together and sang Happy Birthday to Rocco- the big 19! Lots of birthdays on this tour!! We all then went to support our campsite Australian mate’s as they played in the semi final. Chanting, cheering, singing the entire time, and then came all together and did a big group chant at the end. Truly awesome!!!
We said goodbye to Santi as well as he leaves us early in the morning.
Lots of love, camaraderie, and great memories being made!

What a day…. We started with the U16 7v7 boys playing in the morning, all players able to attend, and the boys put on an easy 7-1 winning show. Then we had to split up, half of the girls went to the U18 boys game and cheered them on as they went out in pks, and the other half of the girls went to the U16 boys to cheer them on as they went out in a hard fought 2-1 loss. Then all of the players got to go to the U16 7v7 boys semi final, where they lost a heartbreaking game 4-3. They came out of it with medals and a big trophy, which is still an amazing accomplishment!!
With all that being said, all of the boys got to attend the girls semi final game, where they beat a Swiss team 3-0. The girls play in the final tomorrow where they will bring home some hardware regardless. We celebrated Rylie’s birthday as well (a win is one of the best birthday presents!!).
Overall, it was an emotional day, but a great day. Lots of lessons learned on and off the field, per usual.
Kids are doing great and loving it. Let’s hope the girls can bring home some gold hardware tomorrow!

Boys C made it home safely!!! Happy parents excited to see their babies again.
We have a 16th birthday on the trip- Happy Birthday Elliot! Got to sing with him, and the Australians staying in the same areas as us sang with us. Then he got his birthday “pats”, the Australians joined us with those too.
We started the morning with an early game from boys 7v7, with a win. Then we did a big group yoga session to stretch the legs and try to get out some of the tiredness. Beautiful weather and such a relaxing vibe. Eddie always does a great yoga session!
All teams are into the playoff stages tomorrow!

•Girls U18 play in the semi final
•Boys U18 play in the round of 64
•Boys U16 7v7 play in the quarter final
•Boys U16 play in the round of 64

Relaxing day yesterday!!
We arrived at the cabins very very early morning on Sunday, so kids got to sleep in. Walked to the store to buy some healthy snacks- some didn’t get that memo so the coaches got to keep some delicious pastries and Pringles to eat. We relaxed around the cabins. Took naps and laid out in the warm sun, played some soccer tennis, played 1-2-3 touch resulting in butts up if you lose, played cards etc. The boys had a light session on the field, while the girls played soccer golf. Ended the day with more relaxing, games, and meeting some of the other teams around the cabins.

The younger groups went their separate ways and Boys D & E (Coach Mo and Coach Cannon) arrived safely in America! Boys C with Coach Andrew and Meghan leave soon as well. They had a great trip, and I know the big kids miss the younger kids, and vise versa.

Bittersweet day yesterday…. Half of the group went to Hjorring, Denmark for Dana Cup, while the other half began to make their journey back home. Lots and lots of tears were shed- both happy and sad. Everyone gets very close and creates strong bonds with one another no matter the age.
Everyone got to enjoy the day in Gothenburg- watching Gothia Cup Finals, shopping, going to the amusement park, enjoying the beautiful weather etc. What a way to end the week in one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Four teams played today, six games played! Two quarterfinals were played by the girls and the Boys Red teams. Girls going out in pks, boys red going out with a 1-0 loss. Tough day, but exciting because we haven’t made it this far with this many teams in a while. Happy Birthday to Tristan!!!
Tomorrow we will enjoy the city and the finals before part of the group goes home, and the rest goes on to Hjorring.

Day 9
7/14
Another travel day! We had an early morning wake up call to immediately clean up our rooms before hopping on a bus to catch the ferry to Gothenburg. Most got a good nap in on the ferry transfer, and all bags still accounted for. Alas, we’ve made it to Sweden! A bit chilly, but we aren’t complaining because it’s just such wonderful temperatures (especially compared to Texas). Dropped our bags off at the hotel and then went to a light training session at Heden to get the travel out of our legs. A pretty relaxing afternoon with some naps to catch up on some sleep, and delicious meals at the hotel. Everyone is watching the Euro Final in their rooms, and getting comfy in their beds. Tomorrow we start games and opening ceremonies- a big and exciting day ahead of us
