Cebu Hike went to Jolo, a municipality in the Province of Sulu last June 23, 2022 and spent a day tour. This photo is taken while in Mauboh Beach of Patikul District where a food park caters to visitors with a view of the Sulu Sea and a lovely sundown dipping in the celestial horizon...

Cold spring, flowing water. Entrance fee for adults, as of this posting (April 2022) is P150 per head, children at P100 per head; children with special needs get to enter free (or fees are waived, thanks to management). Monobloc tables are available at P150 with four chairs. I was told to pay P20 for additional two monobloc chairs. The only thing we encountered that's quite awful is that some visitors put their Bluetooth speaker on blast mode, quite a disturbance/nuisance. Best time to come is 8 am when you still have the place to your group, you can still enjoy the chirping of birds and the gushing of flowing water. We left the area at past 10 am to avoid trading barbs with the group who had their boombox blaring.

Note: This is in the Province of Cebu. Not Cebu City. Be careful with terms when asking for directions in coming here. Check your road map carefully. The road that leads here is a different road traversed daily by most buses going to the northernmost of Cebu. You are to pass by the Municipality of Borbon first before you get to Barangay Maslog in Tabogon. This is the northeastern side, by the coastline with coves, and on hills overlooking the sea. Amping sa pag-travel!

Hi, guys! This is the 2nd part of the video footage on our visit to Malubog Tunnel. We went to visit an old tunnel - the Malubog tunnel - used to transport equipment as part of the operations of Malubog Dam in Barangay General Climaco, Toledo City. The visit was on 12.11.21.

The other end of the tunnel leads to a viewing deck where there is this stairwell to a pool of water in between gorgeous gorges. The water spills from the Malubog Dam and flows to the pool. The area has a settlement and that the residents use the stairs to get access to Barangay General Climaco. The dam is a property of a copper mining firm. So coming here should be arranged with local motorcycle-for-hire drivers.

Hi, guys! We visited Malubog Dam on 12.11.21 via Sitio Dakit, Cambang-ug in Toledo City, Cebu going to Casoy in Barangay General Climaco, Toledo City in the midwest section of Cebu Island, in the third legislative district. Malubog Dam is a property of what used to be the second largest copper mining firm in Asia - Atlas Consolidated Mining & Dev't Corp. It stands today as Carmen Copper Corporation. It is an interesting, sturdy structure which gives the awe because of its form and purpose. When we negotiated the road leading here onboard a motorcycle-for-hire we were stopped three times by residents tugging a rope for an entrance boom. They were to collect P5 from vehicle drivers using the private road. This destination is best for hikers or trekkers, bikers, or backpackers. Public toilet facility might be hard to find. Road is a combination of paved & dirt road. Dining joints are available mostly in Casoy. Might take an average of 12-kilometer journey from Dumlog, Toledo City or 2 hours for hikers on slow to moderate pace. Motorcycles-for-hire drivers may collect from P50 to P150 per head, or P250 including guiding fees.
