'Ummm... Tbh I don't know who Theroux is but as I look back to my escape to Ladakh, the guy does makes sense.
When I was cold and wary, I wasn't sure what to think. But as I write about my experience, I close my eyes and think about that view from top of the mighty Khardung La. And I know that I have made it...
Travel is, after all, a way of learning about your world by stepping into it- by branding your mind with maps, memories and motivations of a lifetime.
A thousand different experts or even an army of professors cannot show you the wisdom that you live through the lens of observation. And the wisdom of personal experience is exactly why traveling is vital.
And don't merely travel, relive your experiences by documenting them. So that those experiences have silhouettes of their own, inspiring other travelers... '
