Well now I understand my 7 hour hold time yesterday. Remember your travel insurance when you book an airline that doesn’t protect on another airline.

More than 100 flights were canceled at Dallas Love Field on Sunday as the airlines blamed weather and air traffic control issues.

Here is one of my favorite Travel Tips:

Traveling outside of the US? Eligible travelers with a smartphone or tablet can download the Mobile Passport Control app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

The process is easy:

Set up your profile: Enter your profile information as it appears on your valid, official passport. You can set up profiles for your entire family. Your information will be encrypted and shared only with CBP.
Answer a few questions: Answer CBP’s four brief questions about your trip. Then carefully review ALL of your information for the trip.
Submit to CBP: Once you land, connect to wi-fi (or use your cellular data plan) and submit your data to CBP.

Remember: when you submit, you are confirming under penalty of law that your information is correct. Within a few seconds, you will receive a CBP receipt with an encrypted barcode. Your receipt will be valid for 4 four hours.
Skip The Line & save time!: Follow the MOBILE PASSPORT CONTROL signs and skip the lines! Show your passport to the CBP officer and scan the barcode on the CBP receipt. And that’s it!

Are you traveling to Quintana Roo, Mexico? (Cancun/Riviera Maya)

Please be aware that effective April 1st, 2021, a new Mexican Government usage fee will be applied to all international visitors over the age of 15, entering Quintana Roo.

Visitors will be required to pay a fee of approximately $10 USD (depending on the exchange rate). This fee can be paid prior to arrival, upon arrival, or during the visitor's stay. Payment terminals will be set up at the airport or payment can be made via this web link.

When visitors have concluded their stay in Quintana Roo, they must show their receipt at the airport prior to boarding their return flight home.

IMPACTED SHIPS AND SAILINGS:
• Norwegian Encore: all embarkation dates from July 4, 2021 through and including October 28, 2021
• Norwegian Jewel: all embarkation dates from July 5, 2021 through and including October 6, 2021
• Norwegian Jade: all embarkation dates from July 4, 2021 through and including November 4, 2021
• Norwegian Joy: all embarkation dates from July 1, 2021 through and including October 9, 2021
• Norwegian Gem: all embarkation dates from July 1, 2021 through and including October 22, 2021

Although these cancellations are the result of fleet redeployment and not a sailing suspension, all impacted guests will receive a full refund of the fare paid, which will be automatically returned to the form of payment provided at the time of reservation. In addition, we have issued a 10% discount in the form of a Future Cruise Credit. This credit can be used for up to one year from date of issue and can be applied towards any of our published sailings through December 31, 2022. Please follow the steps listed here for instructions on how to apply the 10%.
