Round 2 at Lookout Cay was a blast! Becky and I spent some time getting character pictures while the boys relaxed on the beach (don’t worry we joined them to relax too!)
Day 5: Castaway Cay
🌴 We had a great day on Castaway Cay despite the cloudy weather. Our parasailing excursion was cancelled but the rain held off, so we were able to enjoy the island and that's all we could ask for.
🌊 Since our parasailing excursion was canceled, we focused mainly on character pictures (their new outfits are the absolute cutest) and other photo opportunities on the island.
🏝️ Then it was time to relax in a hammock with a pina colada - we love living the island time life.
☀️ Castaway Cay really is a little slice if heaven, and there's something for everyone to enjoy. From kids programming, character meet and greets, beautiful beaches, character dance parties, snorkeling, excursions, a separate section (Serenity Bay) for adults only, a delicious lunch served right on the island, and so much more, you are bound to have a fantastic time.
🏖️ Castaway Cay is one of my favorite places to visit when sailing Disney Cruise Line.
Back on the ship we enjoyed quite a few activities.

Day 4: Nassau
Nassau is normally a bonus ‘sea’ day for us to enjoy and explore the ship, but this trip we chose to get off and check out the new Port Shops and do a little bit of shopping before getting back on the ship for a very special ‘treat-yourself’ experience - a Couples Private Villa Massage.
The new shopping area was very cute, there was a Junkanoo Museum to visit, and the shops were plentiful- we were able to find everything we wanted for souvenirs, so I’d call that a successful trip off the ship.
Back on the ship we had lunch at Cabanas, met up with our friends Becky and Dan for Star Wars Trivia, and then arrived at Senses Spa for our couples massage appointment. This was a true splurge but it was worth it to fully unwind and relax together. The treatment included a relaxing foot and leg scrub, time in a private whirlpool bath on our own private balcony, a 75 minute Swedish (or deep tissue) massage and then some additional time to relax on our private balcony together with hot tea. It was pure bliss and I highly recommend trying the experience at least once to pamper yourself!
After our massage it was pirate night and we enjoyed participating in all the pirate night fun, especially the fireworks to end the evening!

🏴☠️ Pirate Night on a Disney Cruise is a very special night! With characters dressed in pirate attire, special menus at dinner, fun photo backdrops, a pirate party and fireworks at sea!!
🎆 Yes! Disney Cruises have fireworks at sea - the fireworks are biodegradable and turn into fish food when they hit the water! How cool is that?!?
☠️ We love joining in on the Pirate Night fun and have the pictures to prove it!

Day 3: Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point + South Eleuthera Eco and Cultural Excursion - Part 1
Today was jam packed and exciting as we were some of the first guests to experience Lookout Cay! I will recap our excursion in this post and Lookout Cay in the next post, but first let’s talk about the elephant in the room - the pier walk.
Pictures can be deceiving - the pictures make the walk look much, much longer than it is. From the ship to the trams on Lookout Cay is 0.6 miles (we tracked it using our watches), it took us about 10-15 minutes to walk.
There are wagons at the start of the pier (on the left hand side) and golf cart shuttles available for those with limited mobility that need assistance crossing the pier.
About halfway through the walk Disney had cast members giving out cold towels, and on the way back they had water stations set up before getting back on the ship.
The biggest challenge we had was getting on a tram (we counted about 10 tram shuttles) to make our excursion, but with some patience we made it on the tram and to the Gathering Tree - the central meeting point for excursions.
Below are the highlights of the South Eleuthera Eco and Cultural Excursion - we did miss one stop due to some miscommuncation and delays but I am sure they will work out all the kinks as the continue to learn.

After our excursion we returned to Lookout Cay and enjoyed the BBQ, beach and even saw Minnie (but more on that later)! All in all it was a great day on Lookout Cay and we can’t wait to visit again on Thursday!
Day 2: Sea Day
There are so many things to do on a Disney Cruise, especially on a Sea Day!! We slept in so we missed some of the morning activities but we still managed to do a lot before having to get ready for Formal Night!!

What a happy coincidence that everyone was dressed in their finest (including the #1 duck himself) to celebrate!!

Day 1: Embarkation Day
We had a very busy embarkation day to kick off our magical Disney Cruise vacation!!
🧳 we woke up bright and early to put our luggage outside our room - it would magically appear at our stateroom later that day
🥐 had a delicious breakfast and checked in for our transportation to Port Canaveral
🚢 met up with our friends Becky & Dan at the cruise port for embarkation
🚢 stood in the longest line I’ve ever seen for Palo Brunch but successfully procured a reservation for our last sea day! (Chicken parm here I come!)
🥗 had lunch and dinner in my favorite dining room - Animator’s Palette
🖼️ decorated our door - a must do for us every cruise
🛟participated in the muster drill (we were the lucky ones inside the theatre in the AC)
🚢 had a blast at the sail away party and then enjoyed watching the Fantasy sail away from the top deck
🧖♀️ enjoyed our first visit to the rainforest room and almost fell asleep on the hot stone loungers (we will be spending a lot of time here)
🌟 met some of my favorite friends in their sailing finest!
What an amazing day - we can’t wait for all the adventures to come during the rest of our cruise!

Happy Star Wars Day - May the 4th be with you!
You can do hard things!
I’m going to be honest with you all - I wasn’t sure if this dream 10k finish line photo was going to happen today as I had a rough night with a pretty unsettled stomach. But I got up at 2am, I got dressed, I got on the bus, made it to the corrals and then - crossed the start line for the Adventure is out there 10k race.
Once we were running everything started falling into place for me and while I didn’t run my fastest 10k, I walked/ ran at a pace that felt comfortable (without seeing the balloon ladies once), was still able to stop for characters, and had A LOT OF FUN!
All because I never gave up. I’m so thankful I had Neil running with me as support - it made finishing even better.
So I’ll say it again for the people in the back - YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS!! Never give up and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish!
I love them - that is all.
So glad Russell and Dug were still out to greet runners on Day 2 of the Expo - 6.2 we’re coming for you tomorrow!

Neil and I have been catching up on all the ‘new’ Duck Tales episodes, so when we found out the Beach Club’s gingerbread carousel was Duck Tales themed this year we knew we had to check it out! We took the short walk from Epcot to Beach Club and we were not disappointed!

Day 5- We spent our last day at Animal Kingdom and other than the heat and mobile ordering going down it was a very relaxing day, the perfect day to end our vacation in fact. There were more animals out and about during our Kilimanjaro Safari ride than I’ve ever seen before and our 25 minute wait for Flight of Passage was a breeze compared to my 2 hour wait during my last trip! After riding Everest and before returning back to our hotel for the “Tragic” Express we stopped for pictures at this Photopass spot and I’m so glad we did, our photographer was amazing and did so many extra magic shots including one where they turned me into a Wilderness Explorer Scout!!
