It's not a well-known fact, but Gaudí was a nice and caring person. So much so, that he even built a school for the children of Sagrada Família's construction workers on the cunstruction site so that they can attend, while their dads were working on this amazing piece of art.🥰️ That should warm our hearts for today 🙏

When we said that Gaudí admired and was inspired by nature, we weren't joking. 🌳 The whole façade of La Pedrera is made from natural stone and has a lining of white ceramic tiles around the upper edge of the building. 🤩

👉Fun fact: the construction of Sagrada Família has been taking longer than that of the Great Pyramids.
The construction of the Sagrada Familia started in 1882 and is supposed to be finished in 2026 or 2028 for Gaudí’s centenary. This means that while the pyramids of Goza had taken 20 years to be built, the Sagrada Família will take between 144 and 146 years to be completed. 👀

The central tower in the middle will be 170 meters high. Despite having a powerful height, Gaudí believed that nothing man-made should ever be higher than God’s work. It is no coincidence that the ultimate height will be one meter less than Montjuïc, the mountain in Barcelona, which is also the city’s highest point. ⛰
