Belvoir Castle gardens and parkland will welcome visitors throughout Twixmas period from Boxing Day to New Year's Day, allowing families to enjoy outdoor activities and walk off holiday excess.

The Retail Village and castle grounds will be open for festive gatherings, along with seasonal food and drink available at various venues.

Free parking will be offered on Boxing Day and New Year's Day, spreading Christmas cheer. Please note that the gardens and parkland are closed on Christmas Day.

🔴Christmas Event Update🔴

Friday 6th: Christmas Market 10am - 2pm in the Town Centre.

Switch-on: Cancelled due to weather warnings.

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th: Christmas Market continues at the Stockyard.

We have got windy weather heading our way, and while safety is always our number one priority, we have made the tough decision to cancel the Christmas light switch on tomorrow evening.

BUT … fear not the festive fun does not stop there. Thanks to the brilliant support from Melton Mowbray Town Estate, Melton BID and the Stockyard Melton Mowbray we are all working hard to ensure we still have a fun packed festive weekend…….. despite the weather.

Friday – the market and entertainment will continue as planned from 10 am to 2pm .
Saturday – the Christmas market is joining the Fat Stock Market up at the Stockyard
Sunday – the Christmas market continues up at the Stockyard while the car boot market is postponed to another date.

Don’t forget you can also escape Storm Darragh by visiting the Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary’s Church, all the wonderful shops and cafes in the town centre and of course Santa in his Grotto in the Bell Centre 10 till 7 on Friday and 10 till 4 Sat and Sun.

🎉 In their 14th year, the very best of tourism and hospitality businesses in Leicestershire gathered for the Go Leicestershire Tourism and Hospitality Awards. A total of 27 awards were presented, honoring the top bars, restaurants, hotels, B&Bs, and attractions in the area. 🎄📣Gates Garden Centre in collaboration with Ausden Clark coaches has announced a FREE public bus service at bus stations in Melton and Oakham and villages in between on Fridays during December.

Plus you’ll also enjoy a FREE hot drink at Gates when you arrive.
