GOSAIKUNDA & LANGTANG VALLEY TREKKING STARTING FROM KATHMANDU: -

The combination of Gosaikunda (frozen lake) and Langtang valley trekking is a popular and scenic trekking route in Nepal. Starting from Sundarijal (Kathmandu), this trek offers a unique experience as it combines the beauty of the sacred Gosaikunda Lake, Langtang valley and the Helambu region. Along the trial, we will encounter Tamang and Sherpa villages, offering insights into local traditions, lifestyle and architecture. We can see panoramic views of the Langtang range including peaks like Langtang Lirung, Ganesh himal and even glimpses of the Annapurna range.

The 4th day of our trek from Thadepati to Phedi on the way to Gosaikunda takes you through a diverse and scenic landscape over the course of about 6 to 8 hours. Starting in Thadepati, a village at an elevation of around 3,690 meters, the trail offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including the Langtang range. As you descend, the path winds through dense rhododendron and pine forests, providing a cool, shaded environment and the occasional glimpse of wildlife.

The descent also takes you through terraced fields and small Tamang villages, where you can experience local culture and hospitality. By the time you reach Phedi, situated at approximately 3730 meters, you will have traversed a significant elevation drop, making for a rewarding and picturesque journey. Phedi, a charming and tranquil village, serves as a rest point before you begin the challenging ascent to Gosaikunda. The next stage of the trek involves a steady climb through rugged terrain and alpine meadows, leading to the sacred Gosaikunda Lakes, a high-altitude destination celebrated for its serene beauty and spiritual significance.

We are specialized in several different services such as trekking, city tours, peak climbing, adventure sports, sightseeing, mountain flights, jungle safari, and cultural tours here in Nepal. Our prime motto is to help you to see our amazing country. Your safety is our first priority.

We can see panoramic views of the Langtang range including peaks like Langtang Lirung, Ganesh himal and even glimpses of the Annapurna range.

The 3rd day of our trek from Kutumsang to Thadepati is a rewarding and somewhat challenging segment of the Helambu trekking route in Nepal. Starting from Kutumsang at an elevation of 2,470 meters, the trail steadily ascends through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine. This part of the trek offers a rich natural experience, with the chance to see diverse flora and possibly some wildlife. As you climb higher, the vegetation begins to thin, and the views of the surrounding peaks become more expansive.

The trail is steep in some sections, requiring a good level of fitness, but the breathtaking views of the Langtang and Jugal Himal ranges make the effort worthwhile. After about 5 to 6 hours of trekking, you reach Thadepati, located at an altitude of approximately 3,690 meters. Thadepati is a small settlement, primarily catering to trekkers, with a few teahouses offering basic accommodation and meals. The viewpoint here provides panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, making it a favorite spot for trekkers to pause and take in the natural beauty of the region.

Day 3: Flight from Ramechhap to Lukla (2,800m) and hike from Lukla to Phakding (2,610m) – around 4 – 5 hours

The travel time from Kathmandu to Ramechhap airport is between four to five hours. So, get up early and take a drive to Manthali. After that, you’ll experience a picturesque flight to Lukla. Start your hike with a short stroll following the trail through the Dudhkoshi River’s bank to Phakding.

Day 4: Hike from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) – around 6 hours

Leave Phakding for Namche Bazaar after a breakfast. On moving further, you’ll cross the Dudhkoshi River on our route through a suspension bridge. After then, the pathway leads its way up until you reach Jorsale. A climb leads to Namche from there, with two significant overlooks along the route. On a clear day, you can take in the mesmerizing vista of Everest. Furthermore, you will enter Sagarmatha National Park at Jorsale to obtain a permit entry. After a hard 5 to 6-hour hike, we’ll arrive in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: Rest in Namche Bazaar

Take the acclimatization day as an opportunity to rest and allow your body to recover from the previous days trek. Namche bazaar is known as the gateway to the Everest.

Day 6: Hike Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m) – around 5 hours

Following a lovely night in Namche, we continue our trek by making our way to Tengboche. We’ll be accustomed to high winds & difficult terrain by this point. As the trek advances, the trail
gradually gets steeper and narrower. In route to Tengboche, we’ll pass by many monasteries, suspension bridges, waterfalls, and rhododendron forests. You can explore one of Nepal’s oldest
monasteries once you get to Tengboche.

Day 7: Hike from Tengboche to Dingboche (4360m) – around 6 hours

We start our hike by walking through the rhododendron forest to Deboche. Then, we pass through a valley, cross several fields, and reach Pangboche town, the largest Sherpa community in the area. Our day’s hike will be challenging because it leads to exposed, arid hillsides as we advance toward Dingboche.

Day 8: Hike from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m) – around 6 hours

Because of the higher altitude, the walk will get steadily more complicated from here. We’ll pass by Dungla, but not before a strenuous ascent to a mountain’s summit. As we stroll along the
ridge, we cross a row of memorial landmarks created in honor of climbers and Sherpa’s who perished during the Everest Expedition. The further portion of our journey transports us to Lobuche across finished rugged mountain terrain. Lobuche is a tiny village with a majestic view of Lobuche, Pumori, and Nuptse mountains.

Day 9: Hike from Lobuche to Gorek Shep (5,181m) to Everest Base camp (5,364m) and back to GorekShep – around 8 hours

The walk today will last about eight hours. It will help if you take extra precautions from here since altitude sickness could become serious. The trail follows the route with an uphill hike across steep terrain next to the Khumbu Glacier from Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp. We’ll have some time to snap photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We will soon set out on a downhill journey to Gorakshep, where you will spend the night.

Day 10: Hike from Gorekshep to Kala Patthar (5,545m) to Pheriche (4,280m) – around 6 hours

The journey from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar is another significant part of this trek. The route is technical and challenging and starts early in the morning. It is quite challenging to trek uphill on the route to Kalapathar. The beautiful path will allow us to observe the outstanding Himalayan sunrise from Kala Pathar. The beautiful viewpoint is known for its stunning view, where you can observe the glorious Himalayan sunrise. After exploring and observing the
Himalayan sunrise, we return to the Gorak Shep village. It takes around 45 minutes to return to Gorak Shep and descend to Pheriche.

Day 11: Hike from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) – around 6 hours

It takes around 6 -8 hours to reach Namche Bazaar from Pheriche. We will be descending about 1000 meters which can be a relief after days of ascent but can also be tough on your knees.

Day 12: Hike from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m) – around 6 hours

This is the last day of our trek. The trail of the trek is the last chance to observe the Himalayas and the Himalayan terrain.

Day 13: Return Flight from Lukla to Ramechhap

The Lukla to Ramechhap flight takes around 35 minutes. You will love the fantastic mountain views from the top before you reach Ramechhap. It takes around 4-5 hours drive to reach Kathmandu by jeep from Ramechhap.

When to visit Nepal?

Nepal is popular for natural, cultural, and adventurous activities. With the right information, travel plan, and preparation, it is a year-round destination. The best time to visit depends on the interesting activities that you want to do here.

Autumn – September, October, and November – High Season

Autumn is the best season to visit Nepal because the skies are clear during this time meaning views of the Himalayas are at their most spectacular, ideal for hiking/trekking in Everest, Annapurna, and other trekking regions.

It is a festival season as well so you can expect street parades,
decorated houses and temples, dancing and singing long into the night. The 15 day-long Dashain festival is the most significant festival in the calendar year. This festival has a focus on family gatherings, the giving of gifts and blessings, and renewing community ties. The second-largest festival next to Dashain is the 5 days long Tihar festival.

Spring – March, April, and May –Second High Season

From March onwards spring makes its appearance, the temperatures climb and the flowers on the hillsides burst into bloom. You’ll see vast swathes of pink and red rhododendrons in particular. Trekking conditions are perfect, with daylight hours lasting longer into the evening, and so tea houses and treks at higher altitudes open up again.

Nepal in spring offers festivals that lighten up the atmosphere. The Holi festival is celebrated at the beginning of spring. Another such festival celebrated during this season is the birthday of Lord Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. Buddhism is accepted worldwide more as a philosophy than a religion. Some other popular festivals celebrated during this season are the Nepali New Year and the Maha Shivaratri festival is also known as the night of Lord Shiva. Visiting Nepal during its traditional festivals is a great opportunity to explore the essence of Nepalese culture.

Spring and autumn are generally considered to be the best seasons to visit Nepal. Other activities such as cultural activities, city sightseeing, volunteering, adventure activities, and so on can be done during monsoon and winter as well. When will you come to Nepal? Nepal offers different activities in different seasons.

Welcome to Nepal to explore our nature, culture and adventure.

Trekking with a guide in Nepal is highly recommended for several reasons:

Safety:
Nepal's terrain can be challenging, with unpredictable weather, high altitudes, and remote locations. A guide is familiar with the trails, knows how to handle emergencies, and can help you navigate safely.

Local Knowledge:
Guides are often locals who understand the culture, history, and environment of the regions you trek through. They can share stories, introduce you to local customs, and ensure respectful interactions with communities.

Logistical Support:
A guide can manage permits, accommodation, and other logistics, making your trek smoother and more enjoyable. They can also suggest alternative routes or adjust plans based on conditions.

Language Barrier:
While English is widely spoken in tourist areas, in more remote regions, communication can be difficult. A guide can act as a translator, making interactions easier.

Cultural Immersion:
Trekking with a guide allows you to immerse yourself more deeply in the local culture. They can introduce you to local cuisine, explain religious practices, and even facilitate homestays.

Support Local Economy:
Hiring a guide supports the local economy by providing jobs and ensuring that the money you spend benefits the community.

Navigating Permits and Regulations:
Nepal requires permits for many trekking routes, and some regions have specific restrictions. A guide can help you navigate these regulations, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

Overall, trekking with a guide in Nepal enhances your experience, ensuring both safety and a richer cultural understanding.

Welcome to Nepal to explore the unexplored areas of Nepal.

We request you to contact us for your any questions related with visiting Nepal.

We want to make your Nepal trip a journey of your lifetime.
