Many of the photos at our website are currently down due to an overnight change in terms of service by Photobucket, the photo hosting service used for many of the images). It will take some time to migrate the missing photos to a different host, but it will be done... I will update you when it's finished. In the meanwhile: AVOID PHOTOBUCKET!

Abandoned Motel/Tourist Attraction. Came upon this little gem on Route 17, literally within sight of the Georgia border. An old school Florida motel complete with shuffleboard court and gift shop.

A little throw back Thursday post here. This is Main Street in early High Springs. The railroad tracks are in the foreground. The Great Outdoors is the building in the far right. The building in the middle of the street is the public city well.

Hi y'all! I haven't had much time to blog in a while, but I was finally able to do one today. I don't have a lot of information on Lee (if you have any, please share!), but I do have quite a few before and after photographs. Enjoy!

Adventures, exploration, and photography of unusual, old, and abandoned places around Florida.

(Shared from Abandoned Florida) These photos are of the Annie Lytle Public School #4 in Jacksonville, FL, which you've probably seen if you've driven through Jacksonville on I-95. It's located just north of the St. Johns River.

Hey y'all! My work schedule has been insane over the past few months, so I haven't had much time to get out and explore. I had a three-day weekend a few weeks ago, though, and I was finally able to write about what I did:

Adventures, exploration, and photography of unusual, old, and abandoned places around Florida.

In January 1935, notorious criminals Ma Barker and her son Fred opened fire on FBI agents from their Ocklawaha home, setting off the longest gun battle in the bureau’s history.

Hey Y'all! I am currently working 60 hour work weeks, and will be doing so for the next three months.... Unfortunately this means that I won't be posting as often as I did this summer. I'll post when I can, though, so stay tuned!

Part two of Exploring Ellaville will be online in a few days. In the interim I would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the folks at the JAY VEER FOODMART in Ellaville for finding and holding onto my wallet which I managed to leave there the other day. If any of you decide to check out Ellaville, definitely go in there and spend some money!
