A three-acre site listed in the Florida State Archives is known as 'Lost City,' a place with lots of folklore, including the possibility that it was a Confederate hideout during the Civil War. It otherwise was a large Seminole Village, eventually hidden by dense Everglades vegetation.

Abandoned Motel/Tourist Attraction. Came upon this little gem on Route 17, literally within sight of the Georgia border. An old school Florida motel complete with shuffleboard court and gift shop.
