My family and I just got back from an amazing trip to Greece with Adventures By Disney. We don’t usually travel with a tour but we tried something new and I can’t say enough great things about the experience. I have learned a lot about how to make the most of an ABD adventure. I have plenty of pictures to share but I’ll start off with our two Adventure Guides - two guides is something Adventure By Disney has that other tours don’t. They were amazing. Niki is the local Greek guide and Liz was an American with literally anything you needed - answers to questions, ear drops, batteries, bandaids. She had it all. Remember, I can help you book tours like this. In fact I am thinking about changing over to just booking tours and Beaches/Sandals but we will see.

Great tip passed on from “Sheriff Alerts”

You arrive at your hotel and check in at the front desk. Typically when checking in, you give the front desk your credit card (for any charges to your room).

You go to your room and settle in. All is good.

The hotel receives a call and the caller asks for (as an example) room 620 - which happens to be your room.

The phone rings in your room. You answer and the person on the other end says the following: 'This is the front desk. When checking in, we came across a problem with your charge card information. Please re-read me your credit card number and verify the last 3 digits numbers at the reverse side of your charge card.'

Not thinking anything wrong, since the call seems to come from the front desk you oblige.
But actually, it is a scam by someone calling from outside the hotel.
They have asked for a random room number, then ask you for your credit card and address information.
They sound so professional, that you think you are talking to the front desk.

If you ever encounter this scenario on your travels, tell the caller that you will be down to the front desk to clear up any problems. Then, go to the front desk or call directly and ask if there was a problem.
If there was none, inform the manager of the hotel that someone tried to scam you of your credit card information, acting like a front desk employee.

My kids had their TSA Pre Enrollment appointments today. Still super easy to do. Their appointments were in the Staples on Central Ave. The place was hopping! Highly recommend it if you want to skip the security lines. Available to people aged 13+ and costs $85 a person.

Federal government websites often end in .gov or .mil. Before sharing sensitive information, make sure you’re on a federal government site.

Car rental tip I stumbled upon. Join Hertz Gold (it’s free!) and download the app. Book your car though Hertz and check in from the app when you board your flight (or about two hours before you pickup your car). When you land and get to the Hertz Rental Center, you can bypass the lines, look for your name on the board, and it will direct you to either a specific parking spot or a level. If you get a level, such as Presidents Circle, you can select any car from that area and just checkout as you leave the lot. It’s super easy and quick.
