One of my favorite (and free!) things to do with kids at Animal Kingdom is to become a Wilderness Explorer! When you enter the park, grab an explorers guide and follow the map to collect badges at various locations around Africa, Asia, and even Pandora. At each badge location, you will meet with a Troop Leader to learn about a variety of topics ranging from Gorillas to Botany to insects and dinosaurs. There’s even a cool special handshake all explorers learn along their journey! Wilderness Explorers is a fun and engaging way to take a break from the thrill rides and provides kids with an opportunity to learn and explore the animal kingdom.

Disney has introduced their Premier Pass as part of their Lightening Lane System. Prices will range from $199- $449 per person per day and allows folks to “skip the line” once per ride. Rollout begins October 30 for those staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts!

Laugh Floor (Tomorrowland) or Mickey’s Philharmagic (Fantasyland), Grab some candy and hang out in the air conditioned theater for as long as you like! Eat some candy, take a nap or just plain chill out until you are ready to hit the party again!

If you run into any problems or have any concerns during your time in the parks, stop and see the guest experience team! They can help answer any questions you may have. As you may have guessed by now, my son and I are taking a quick trip to Disney! We started the morning off at Animal Kingdom with a safari ride, a visit with the yeti on Expedition Everest and we rode a banshee on Flight of Passage! We ended our time at Animal Kingdom with the Festival of the Lion King - my favorite show in all of Disney! This is a must do for anyone visiting AK for the day!
