【WTCF City Members News : Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge sees record daily vehicle traffic】

The Zhuhai port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) saw over 19,000 inbound and outbound vehicles on April 1, marking a record high since its opening, official data showed on April 2.

The figure surpassed the previous highest single-day record of 18,400 set on March 31 this year, according to the border inspection station of the HZMB, the world's longest bridge-and-tunnel sea crossing.

The 55-km HZMB links China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), the city of Zhuhai in Guangdong province, and Macao SAR. It has brought tremendous economic opportunities and benefits to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

【News : Consumption booms during Spring Festival holiday in China】

China's consumption in catering, accommodation, tourism, retail and entertainment was heating up during this year's Spring Festival holiday from Feb 10 to Feb 17, which brought a good start to the consumer market for the Year of Loong, or Chinese Dragon.

According to data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 474 million domestic tourism trips were made during the holiday, an increase of 34.3 percent over the same period last year and an increase of 19 percent on a comparable basis compared with the pre-pandemic level in 2019.

Domestic tourists have spent about 632.69 billion yuan ($87.91 billion) in total, up 7.7 percent from the same holiday period in 2019.

According to the National Immigration Administration, a total of 13.52 million inbound and outbound visits were made during the holiday. The number of daily average visits was 1.69 million, a 2.8-time increase over the same holiday period last year.

【WTCF City Members News : China-Cambodia intangible heritage exhibition enchants visitors 】
A China-Cambodia "Beauty of Intangible Heritage" exhibition kicked off in Phnom Penh, the Cambodian capital , captivating hundreds of visitors.

The 15-day exhibition showcased creative artworks including tea sets, book lights, bookmarks and purple clay teapot painted with Bauhinia flower, among others.

At the opening ceremony, Chinese intangible cultural heritage inheritors presented the grand song of the D**g ethnic group to the audience, as Cambodian artists introduced Chapei Dang Veng, a long-necked, two-stringed lute.

The exhibition was held back-to-back with a competition for college students on intangible cultural heritage creative designs and a seminar on intangible cultural heritage.
