Half Day tour 🌟

Mary from Singapore contacted me to do a half day tour of London.

Mary and her friends are all originally from Singapore and are now all spread around the world 🌎
They meet up every 5 years in a different country and explore the history and culture.
This time, it was Mary's choice to meet in London.
They were amazed to see the old and new of London along with some film locations and the famous Beatles Abbey Road crossing.
We even had time for a quick beer in a historic pub. 🍻

This time, we visited Winston Churchill family home, Blenhiem Palace, in the Cotswolds.

After we visited some lovely little villages in the Cotswold's

At one of the stops, we popped into England oldest inn. It dates back to 947.

He's buried in St Paul's Cathedral

He is the greatest woodcarver the world has ever seen.

It's always lovely to walk around some of London's old churches and today I wasn't disappointed.
I stumbled upon some very fine work by the great man.
The valley of the dry bones is in a very good condition it could have been carved yesterday, not 300 years ago πŸ‘€

And Deptford is where the famous and infamous skull πŸ’€ and cross bone pirate ☠️ flag was born.

Bespoke half day tour 🌟

Nell and Maureen from the USA contacted me for a bespoke tour around London.
Nell has been to London several times, but for Maureen, it was her first.

They wanted to combine a few iconic sights of London but were more interested to see a lot more of londons hidden and historical past.

Along the way, we visited some very old churches, some date back to 1123 and one had some very strong links to American. ( checkout the stain glass windows in the church)

We also found old jail cells that were once part of the notorious Newgate jail.

We also had time for a quick bit of shopping πŸ› and Nell bought herself a lovely hat πŸ‘’
