I JUST HIKED THE CONISTON 7!
What an awesome day hiking around the Coniston are. I don't spend enough time in the lakes however I purposely went to complete the Coniston 7 Challenge. This was such a great day that I'm gonna add it to our website soon as a Group Hiking Day. 🏴 Llanberis Path at Sunset 🌄
Stunning hike at sunset up to the summit of Snowdon last night. A real treat, and the group really got to experience the best Snowdon Summit had to offer. We also got to see 2 trains from the @snowdonmountainrailway on our journey up the Llanberis Path.
The Llanberis Path is the longest, yet most accessible path to the Summit of Snowdon, hence why it gets the most footfall.

🏭🦇 So what do you think now resides in this old Buxton Lime Kilm?
Today, the kilns are a home to wildlife. The white boxes you can see high up on the buttresses are for swifts. They need the height to be able to take off and once hatched and left the nest, they can keep flying non-stop for up to 3 years!
The dark crevices in the kilns are often used by hibernating bats in winter.
Natterer’s, Brown Long-eared and Daubenton’s bats are common species in this type of habitat, close to trees and rivers.
