When visiting.... your standard greetings are "Good Morning", "Good Afternoon", "Good Day" and "Good Evening".

Why?

Approaching someone on the street or while they work with "Hey can you tell me how to get to the [insert location]" or "Hi, I'd like to buy this, how much?" without a polite greeting will come off to them as pompous, impolite and very rude. Having manners goes a long way within the West Indie Islanders traditional values and culture.

VI taxi rates are always per person and to/from destination.
These are set rates everyone should abide by and you should know so that you don't get surprised.
If you ask for a destination for a group of 4 and the driver says $10 and ushers you in, it is $10/person. At the end of your drive it will be $40.

The mask 😷 mandate only remains in place for ports of entry🛳 ✈️, health facilities 🏥, nursing homes 👵🏽 and schools
