10 IMPORTANT TRAVEL AND VACATION TIPS
=====================================

Going away on vacation should be an enjoyable experience but everyone has a horror story to tell.

Perhaps your hotel room was robbed, or perhaps a careless spouse accidentally gambled away more money than they realized, or perhaps you simply lost your wallets somewhere between the airport and hotel.

Here are 10 ways to make sure that your trip is a success in spite of those obstacles.

1. Use a hidden wallet to carry most of your valuables and identification.

2. If you feel comfortable sending it in the mail, mail a money order or a traveler's checks to yourself at your hotel so that even if you lose some of your money, more will be coming.

3. While you don't have to be too strict, you should have an agenda and leave it with someone at home. This way, if something happens in the area where you are vacationing, your loved ones will be able to have a fairly good idea of where you are.

4. Keep copies of identification at home, even if you take the originals with you.

5. When you go on vacation, choose one credit card to bring, rather than bringing all of them. This way, if your wallet gets stolen, you will minimize your losses.

6. Another option is to choose a preloaded credit card, which is really more like a debit card that you put money "on" so that if you end up losing your wallet the thieves cannot wreck your credit rating.

7. Bring important phone numbers with you on your trip and put them in two different places. Bring a phone number that will cancel your credit card; if you're traveling out of the country bring a phone number to reach the embassy; bring phone numbers of close family and friends who can help you if you get into trouble; and bring phone numbers of the hotel and car rental company as well.

8. You'll want to have your travel insurance information. Be sure to keep a copy of your travel insurance at home as well as on your trip so that a family member can access it if necessary.

9. Bring basic medical information with you, like blood type and allergies, and make sure that the medical information is translated into the primary language of the place you are going to so that non-English-speaking doctors will have no problem understanding the situation.

10. Know what kind of insurance is covered on your credit card, if that is how you are using to paying for your trip.

For example, some credit cards cover car rental insurance, but may not cover it in the country are you are going to.

Be sure to know what insurance you have before you leave.

So when next go travel or you go for a vacation implementing these 10 tips will be very beneficial to you.

They say things like 'is it not the
same English we are speaking'.

Well, they are right it is.

But we need to get familiar with the

➡️Switzerland Visa – What You Need To Know

========================================⁣

Switzerland is a land of cascading green hills and icy clear skies. ⁣

Have you ever dreamt of spending some time there? Maybe a month or even a week.⁣

Then let’s get you ready and sorted to apply for your Switzerland visa (which is a Schengen visa).⁣

Do you know the good thing about a Schengen visa? ⁣

You are able to travel freely between the 22 Schengen countries of Europe?⁣

So, before you pack your bags and plan your day to day schedule through the streets of Geneva, Zurich, Basel, and more make sure that you have everything in order to apply for your Switzerland visa/Schengen visa.⁣

What are the different types of Switzerland visas?⁣

1. Type A

Airport transit visa --This is valid for moving within the confines of an airport in Switzerland, awaiting your next flight to another Schengen state or country outside of the European Union.⁣

2. Type C

Tourist visa – valid for up to 90 days of travel within a period of 180 days, for sightseeing across the 22 Schengen countries

Business visa – valid for up to 90 days of travel and allowing the tourist to conduct business within Switzerland

Long-term visa – valid for a period longer than a tourist visa, and includes long-term study, marriage to a Swiss national, and a family reunion

==> Switzerland Visa Requirements

The tourist and business Switzerland visa, are the most relevant types of visas for Nigerian citizens so we will be looking at just their requirements.⁣

a. Tourist visa Requirements.⁣

To travel within Switzerland and its cities and countryside, you will need to apply for your Schengen visa at least 15 days before your desired travel dates, and the process might take up to three months to complete. ⁣

It is best to apply as early as possible. Here is a list of what you will need:⁣

1. A valid passport. Your international Nigerian passport will need to have 2 consecutive blank pages and have an expiry date that exceeds your Switzerland travel dates.⁣
2. A completed Schengen visa application form ===>https://www.sem.admin.ch/dam/data/sem/einreise/visumantragsformulare/visumantrag-schen-en-de.pdf printed and completed honestly and signed.⁣
3. 2x identical, recent and clear passport photographs that comply with the Schengen visa requirements and do not exceed the measurements (35x45mm, in color, with a neutral expression)⁣
4. A letter of invitation (if applying for a tourist visa, this could be from your accommodation hosts or hotel management)⁣
5. Round-trip flight reservation details – to ensure that you will return to Nigeria and not overstay your visa dates⁣
6. Proof of accommodation for your entire duration in Switzerland⁣
7. Travel insurance – this should cover any medical emergencies and have a minimum cover of 30,000 Euros⁣
8. Bank statements for the last three months⁣
9. Employment details and a letter providing evidence of your workplace (a letter of employment)⁣
10. Proof of paid visa fee ⁣

Business Visa

To apply for your business Switzerland visa, you will need to have many documents in order, so it is best to have them all together at the same time. ⁣

Many of the requirements for this visa are the same as the tourist visa, with a few extras.⁣

1. All of the above that is needed for a tourist visa
2. A cover letter – explaining the nature of your visit to Switzerland
3. A short introduction and profile of your business/workplace
4. Invitation letter – this will need to be from the company/companies in Switzerland that you will be meeting with⁣
5. Proof of financial means – financial proof of your company’s travel expenses, including flight and hotel prices⁣
6. Employee details – including your income tax return form, employment contract and personal bank statements of the last six months ⁣

==> Price of a Switzerland visa⁣

The current price of a Schengen visa is 60 EUR (about 24,820 ₦) for a short stay of fewer than 90 days. ⁣

Payment is done upfront, and unfortunately, there is no refund if your application is rejected.⁣

==> Application process⁣

The application process to apply for a Switzerland visa from Nigeria is relatively simple. ⁣

It is very important to have all of your documents at hand before submitting your application, as not having all of the required papers is the main reason for delays or having your visa denied.⁣

• Download and complete your Schengen application form⁣
• Collect and submit all of your documents together to the Embassy of Switzerland in Abuja⁣
• Pay the visa fee⁣
• Make an appointment for your in-person interview⁣
• Attend your interview and have your biometric details taken⁣
• Wait to hear if your visa is granted via phone call or SMS⁣
• Collect or courier your visa⁣

==> Embassy details⁣

You will need to submit all of your Switzerland visa application documents to the embassy of Switzerland in Abuja. ⁣

Assuming all goes well, you will then be called in for an in-person interview to be conducted at the embassy. ⁣

Please make sure to be available for this interview as even though you might not be living in the city of Abuja, you will still need to make your way to the embassy for the interview and biometric fingerprints, etc.⁣

Truth is...Canada is a great country and home to about 100,000 Nigerians⁣

And as a permanent resident in Canada, you enjoy⁣

- Free quality education for your children⁣
- Free and premium health care⁣
- Monetary benefits of about $520 per child⁣

But to get accepted into Canada you have to go through the right process to have your application approved. ⁣

Canada targets to bring in 1 million immigrants between 2018 to 2020, but that does not mean everyone who applies will get in.⁣

Many people who applied via the Express entry have had their applications trashed, mostly because they had low IELTS scores. ⁣

But that's not a problem anymore since you can now get your Canada visa approved without even writing the IELTS exam.⁣

Heck, you don't even need to pay any immigration expert.⁣

You will process your visa all by yourself. ⁣
