Your inevitable first stop in Latham should be a trip around the most famous traffic circle in the area. The Latham Circle. Before round-a-bouts were common in the area, Latham had an ingeniously built example!! Most traffic was north and south and to avoid it having to deal with the slow down of a circle, and EXTREME amount of soil was dug out and removed and therefore route 9 bypasses the circle! This is just an amazing feat of engineering. It is sometimes flooded with heavy rain so heed caution. Hope you love it!
