Did you know that the interior of the pavilion, Plaza de los Amigos, is inspired by a real place: Taxco, Mexico?
Located south of Mexico City, Taxco boasts many marketplaces and town squares similar to the Pavilion!
Even the fountain inside the plaza, which is called Fuente del Chorrito or “trickle fountain,” was modeled after the Colonial Fountain in the town's Plaza Colonial.
