Yesterday, April 5th, Derek and I started our life in Florida. We left behind family and friends, tornadoes and ice storms to have sunshine, warm weather, pools and beaches year round. I can’t believe it has been a year already.

One year ago today, I arrived in Sun City Center, Fl. I traded the view on the left for all of the other pictures. The cats definitely enjoy it and you can’t beat going to the pool or beach in February. Since I still work from home, I am visited daily by the Egrets and occasionally by the Sand Hill Cranes. I do miss my daughter Shannon and granddaughter Emersyn everyday and I miss all of my other friends. Glad that Ruth and Tom moved here too!

Fun Fact: Pufferfish release a toxin when they puff out that is meant to impair the attacker, so they can safely escape. Ironically, this doesn’t work on dolphins in the same way.. it actually gets them high. So they purposely inflate them and pass them around to their dolphin friends for fun.
