💙 Happy February!! 💙

February is a slower month in the Beers household! I am very much over the cold here in Pennsylvania and am ready for warmer spring weather. This month we are focusing on personal projects but have some fun things planned later in the month.

Next weekend I am meeting two of my fellow travel agents to see Mystic Pizza the Musical in New Jersey! The following weekend we are taking James to see monster trucks! I am fully embracing the boy mom life!

🌱 Today is National Farmer Day so of course I need to talk about my favorite Epcot attraction, Living with the Land!! This is a must do for me on every trip, sometimes multiple times. Here are some reasons why I enjoy it so much (and you should too!):

✨ Yes, you’ll learn about cutting-edge agriculture like hydroponics and aquaponics, but this isn’t just a science lesson—it’s an eye-opener on how we can grow food sustainably for future generations.

🐭 Sharp-eyed fans will spot Mickey-shaped surprises in the greenhouses. It’s like a scavenger hunt!

🎄From charming vignettes during EPCOT’s festivals to a holiday overlay at Christmastime, this attraction transforms with the seasons, adding a touch of whimsy to every visit.

🍽️ Many of the crops grown here end up in dishes at EPCOT’s restaurants—how’s that for farm-to-table magic? Everyone gets a whole new appreciation for the food they eat after taking a spin on Living with the Land!

Last summer I did the Behind the Seeds Tour and it was a blast. We learned so much about the Land, the people that work there, and the crops they grow and how they do it all. I highly recommend it for the future farmer or plant lover in your group! 🛏️ Stateroom: I know we all THINK the room is just a place to sleep, but when you’re sharing 169 square feet it can feel small even with your eyes closed. Not having natural light is also a deal breaker for many. Be selective with the room!

You can even favorite the activities you want to do, and you’ll get a reminder notification a little before it starts. 👤 Who: Guests must be at least 8 years old, between 45-300 pounds ⚖️ (everyone gets weighed beforehand), and at least 48 inches tall. Under 18? Bring an adult!

💰 Price and Times: The tour costs $219-$229 per person and typically runs at 8:45am, 10:15am, and 11:45am daily. Pro tip: Book the earliest slot to avoid the heat—it’s a 3-hour outdoor adventure!

🐊Activities: You’ll explore Animal Kingdom’s habitats, dine on the savanna, and cross two bridges (over a crocodile habitat!). It’s safe, thrilling, and totally unforgettable.

✨ Checking In: The Fox Family at Disneyland Resort! ✨

Katelyn and I met when I joined our local sorority alumni chapter a little over a year ago. We instantly clicked because of our mutual love of all things Disney! Katelyn loves to do RunDisney events and today she is heading to Disneyland Resort for her next adventure. Here is her RunDisney story:

“I started running Disney in 2017 with the Princess Half Marathon and haven’t looked back. Since then, I’ve run 3 marathons, 12 halfs, 11 10ks, 8 5ks, and 1 10 miler across all of the WDW runDisney Weekend (including 2 D***y Challenges!)

I’m heading to Disneyland for the first time to take on D***y to Dumbo! I’m excited to take on my first Coast to Coast challenge as well! Every mile is truly magic!”

🐍 This year, the animal associated with the Lunar New Year will be the snake. It’s a nicer Chinese Zodiac symbol than you may think, representing elegance, wisdom, and transformation. Disneyland’s Lunar New Year celebration is a festive nod to Chinese culture with special entertainment, food, and merchandise.

🍻 Cheers to the weekend!! 🍻

I don’t know about anyone else but this week has dragged on! I am very much ready for the weekend. We don’t really have any plans and sometimes those are the best kind of weekends!

I do wish I could be at Universal Studios, sitting at the bar at Finnegan’s, drinking a Guinness, and eating fish and chips! I did just that on my first day there last month and it was the perfect lunch for the start of my trip! I don’t have any pictures of my food because I was super hungry but I promise it was delicious. I also sat next to some Universal Annual Pass Holders who were the sweetest ladies! We had the best conversation!

❄️ Blizzard Beach is BACK—and better than ever!

Walt Disney World’s Blizzard Beach Water Park has reopened, and it’s had some magical upgrades! If you’ve been thinking about using that free water park day perk on your check-in day instead of hitting the resort pool, what’s new might tip the scales in the water park’s favor, especially if you’re traveling with little “Frozen” fans!

The Tykes Peak kid-friendly splash area now features “Frozen”-themed touches with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf. Just think of the photos! Plus, they’ve added some new sweet and savory menu items that may give the sand pail ice cream sundae a run for its money.

Add to that being able to walk over to Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course to use the Magical Extra free round of mini golf voucher, and that’s a whole lotta fun on Disney’s dime!

While it’s hard not to just drop your bags and hit the theme parks upon arrival, such a free and VALUABLE perk doesn’t come around very often. 🍿 Happy National Popcorn Day! 🍿

There is nothing I love more than movie theater popcorn. I don’t care how bad the butter and salt are for me, I load it up with both! I always get a large popcorn, a Cherry Coke, and some kind of sweet treat when I go to the movies. This snack is so nostalgic for me.

I have been seeing Disney films in theater for as long as I can remember. The first Disney film I saw in theaters was The Lion King (yes, I’m showing my age)! My sister and her best friend took me. I guess you could say that was where my Disney addiction began!
