🇺🇸Do you know about these HIDDEN SECRETS of Liberty Square? If you love finding those little-known details that make the parks even more magical, Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom is packed with them. Here are a few gems you’ll definitely want to make sure you take notice of:

🎃 If you’re wandering around Liberty Square after dark, keep an eye on the windows of Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe! You just might catch a glimpse of Ichabod Crane from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, silhouetted in the window. It’s a spooky nod to the Headless Horseman’s story!

🐭 Peek up at the round window on the front of Liberty Tree Tavern and you’ll see Amos Mouse from “Ben and Me,” a classic Disney short about a mouse who helps Benjamin Franklin with his inventions.

🩵 Look for the heart-shaped “Est.” sign posted on the Christmas Shoppe building—it reads “Kepple,” a tribute to Walt Disney’s grandfather, Kepple Elias Disney!

🧚🏻 Tinker Bell fans, this one’s for you! Remember how magical it was to meet Tinker Bell at Magic Kingdom? When they removed her meet and greet, many hearts sank. But guess what? There’s still a place where the magic of Pixie Dust is alive and well—and we call it Disneyland!

Pixie Hollow, an enchanting fairy garden where you can meet Tinker Bell herself, still exists there! No more waving from a parade float. At Pixie Hollow, little ones (or let’s be honest, all of us) can meet Tinker Bell face-to-face! Shrink down to the size of a fairy as you walk through Tink’s garden, surrounded by giant flowers and tiny homes.

🎃 TOMORROW IS THE DAY! 🎃

I have always wanted to go to Walt Disney World just for the day. Well a couple months ago, I found some really cheap flights to Orlando and they just so happened to be on my oldest nieces 20th birthday!

Madison and I will be heading to Orlando early in the morning, spending the start of our day at Epcot, and then attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! We fly home early Monday morning. To say we are excited is an understatement.

🦖 WALT DISNEY WORLD THEME PARK UPDATES! 🚂

Some major theme park updates and announcements have come out over the last couple days. Here is all you need to know!

🦖 Beginning January 13, 2025 work on Tropical Areas will continue with the installation of progress walls at Dinoland USA in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The last day of operation for Tricera Top Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will be January 12th.

🚂 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will temporarily close for refurbishment beginning January 6, 2025. The attraction will not reopen until early 2026.

✨Just Checked In: The “S” and “T” families!✨

This multigenerational family is ready for some spooky good times enjoying all that Walt Disney World has to offer during the fall! They are staying at Port Orleans Riverside and it already feels like home!

They are visiting Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios during their trip and are most excited to experience the main attractions and meet some characters! With four little girls in tow, you know that princesses are a must!

While in the parks they will be dining at three of my personal favorite restaurants! Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom, Tusker House in Animal Kingdom, and Sci-Fi Dine In in Hollywood Studios. All of these choices worked perfectly with their Disney Dining Plan!

REASON 153826826 TO USE A TRAVEL AGENT!!

If you recall from my post a couple days ago, I had clients on the current Disney Wish sailing that left Port Canaveral on Monday. Last night my client informed me that they would not be back into port till Sunday. It was time for me to jump into action!

Since I had booked fully refundable rooms for them at a hotel near the airport for Friday night, I cancelled those rooms with no penalty. I then found other fully refundable rooms at another hotel close to the airport for Sunday into Monday, just in case they will be needed when they return. Did I mention I did all of this while making dinner for my family and during a meeting with my small group in our travel agency?!

My client trusted me to make the right decisions for them and they got to sit back and enjoy their extended cruise! These are the moments I love the most because it is the reason I became an agent, to help people! If you need a reason to use a travel agent ,like me, this is it!!

😬 Let’s talk rides that might be a NO GO! The Universal theme parks have a reputation beyond just Harry Potter; they are known for theirthrilling rides. Not everyone has the courage to conquer their fears on a few of these bad boys!

🎶 Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit: You know it. You’ve seen it. It welcomes you as soon as you enter Universal Studios, but not everyone can handle it. Several inversions and a dramatic drop…no wonder some people hit the chicken exit. I will admit that this is my least favorite thrill ride at Universal Studios!

💚 The Incredible Hulk Coaster: You won’t like him when he’s angry, and his coaster is full of mad loops, speed, and thrills that can have you rattled even after exiting.

🦖 VelociCoaster: Escaping raptors and going upside down without a shoulder harness? Good thing Chris Pratt is there to help save the day!

🏍️ Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure: He’s lovable and a fan favorite character, but can everyone handle this amazing ride? There is some speed and a small drop, but the thrills don’t just come in the form of tickles to the tummy.

✨ BOARDING NOW!! The “D”, “M” and “MC” families are boarding the Disney Wish for a 4-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise!

They are so excited for all of the spooky fun they will have on the ship and also for some much needed island time on Castaway Cay! I have worked with these families before for a Walt Disney World vacation but this is their first multigenerational cruise! It was such a pleasure working with them and I hope they have a blast!

🌮 Pro Tip Alert! Want to save some cash and calories while eating Quick Service at the Disney parks? Here’s a little secret… kids’ meals are where it’s at! If you’re not on the Disney Dining Plan, aren’t a big eater, or don’t like to share, why pay for food you’ll barely finish? Order a kids’ meal! At least look at the options, because they are way easier on your wallet, typically healthier, and surprisingly good.

This is one of my favorite kids meals to order in Epcot! These are the kids’ meal Chicken Tacos from La Cantina San Angel at the Mexico Pavilion. It is marinated grilled chicken on homemade corn tortillas served with corn chips and nacho cheese. Served with a choice of drink and side of fruit! It is the perfect amount of food and is so delicious! Perfect to celebrate National Taco Day today!

🎉 Yesterday was the 53rd anniversary of Magic Kingdom Theme Park! Back in 2021 on the 50th anniversary, I attempted to ride every opening day attraction that was still available in the park! Some of the attractions and offerings have since closed or been replaced but you can still go on the bulk of them! Here was my accomplished list:

✨ it’s a small world
✨ Mad Tea Party
✨ Peter Pan’s Flight
✨ Prince Charming’s Royal Carousel
✨ Princess Fairytale Hall (Snow White’s Scary Adventure
✨ Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade
✨ Swiss Family Treehouse
✨ Tomorrowland Speedway

I did miss some like Haunted Mansion, Hall of Presidents, and Jungle Cruise but we were so busy during the day that we couldn’t make time for them all. I definitely recommend trying this if you like a challenge or go to Magic Kingdom often! I want to do this again on another trip soon! What are some of your favorite opening day attractions? 🎉

Have you ever noticed Master Gracey when you enter the Haunted Mansion? If you stay long enough, he changes right before your very eyes! Master Gracey plays an important role in the history and storyline of the Haunted Mansion. He was a wealthy man that eventually suffered an untimely and violent death. He is buried at the Haunted Mansion which some call Gracey Manor. Make sure to say hello to him next time you visit the attraction. His grave is located in the queue line and this painting is right before you go into the stretching room! Maybe he is one of the 999 happy haunts? Remember there is always room for 1 more.
