Enjoyed recovering from with for a long weekend in before leaving yesterday morning to start heading back to
Finished another great but long day of (including a unplanned hike down the mountain furthest on the left). Sitting on our terrace with a ( ) and fresh with a big scoop of before I shower and do the laundry. When it’s 2 million degrees in when we get home in a week and a half, this is what I’ll be dreaming of.
My favorite view in the world! Haven’t posted as much in the past few days as I’m taking more photos than I can sync, and we are out enjoying these mountains, so even less technology time than usual.
Day after gives us a beautiful view from our latest spot where we will stay this week in
On our next stop today, while switching areas of the for next week, we stopped at the highest peak of all the and went up Hadn’t done tons of planning for this and the car was too packed to find anything, so yes, I was in as we knew we’d do ZERO hiking, but I did not realize I’d get convinced to step out on to the (which did not even last a full minute probably of us and huddling together for another in On both today we had to take three separate lifts to get all the way to the top! 😜
Live view from 3rd highest peak in the and looking down to where we just spent the week
Sunday (July 14th) was our first full day in the and after being blown away by the Dolomites last year (and Plitvicka lakes in Croatia a few days before, I still found myself in a sense of disbelief looking around the area of We hiked the loop trail around the and, while we struggled with just a bit of slippery, steep, rocky slopes around one part, it was all worth it for these amazing views of this iconic cluster of Truly left us ❤️ 🇮🇹 .italy.with.kids .italy
So, in my last post I showed the breathtaking views of in the morning. We went back the next afternoon (after hiking that morning… still to be posted) and it was an entirely new hike! The were and my mind could barely comprehend that I was seeing colors like this in real life that had not been painted or edited. and I’m so glad to see the park at a different time. Other than the crowds… I want to see this place at every time of day in every season! Check out our last post to see beauty in different lighting. Unbelievable
This past Thursday (July 11) we got to see and for the first time. We were truly by the color and beauty. We did the hike first thing in the morning to beat the crowds. The was so magical. We got to see these same sights the next day in afternoon light and it was an entirely Watch for that post to come soon. We absolutely LOVED
I’ve never enjoyed a so much! Loving being back in the
😳😬 🇧🇦 🇭🇷 (We went about 10 feet past this sign and turned around back to 😂) We’ll save more of for another time.
While traveling in we love to listen to the and discover new and that we wouldn’t have otherwise. We a lot of the ones we like or find interesting. It can be funny when you listen to something in another and then hear an word here of there in it. I had to look this one up when I realized they were with and
My last post from June 29th is the building, or the which is the cultural center of the town. .org_ .explore .pl
Another post from beautiful at the of the Bridgegroom. We believe there had just been a as there were flower petals strewn by the front door, though in this town, do tend to be everywhere, so who knows. We’ve seen many gorgeous churches, but this one seems the most unique among them! .org_ .pl .explore
(June 29th) Enjoyed a lovely afternoon drive from to the beautiful little town of which is known for its of on their homes (as well as pretty much everything else.) What a charming way to bring color and joy to this small community. .org_ .pl .explore
Haven’t been able to sync my photos well, so hopefully more to come. We had an amazing time yesterday on the River through the (the oldest in and 2nd oldest in the world to ) Even crossed the river boarder to for a bit.
So, we’re just taking a casual little up the when I turn around and see this little climbing up out of his seat to try to freak me out! Phew, glad we are all back safely on the ground! 🫣😜
The look unreal in the perfect lighting of the start of here in
There are a lot more in BUT these are NOT them. For a brief moment, I think I just understood more than ever before. Thoughts? and vs Still a really we
On or we were mesmerized by this by Jerzy “Jotki” entitled or which features the only in the world by only one or two support points. Truly a magical act masterfully applying and daring the laws of The is currently only scheduled through mid-December and we feel very lucky to get to see it nearby where we are staying in the old in the district and connecting to the district
Like so many spots in already, we found this spot both charming and haunting. We happened upon this cute little garden bar for a drink, and realized we were sitting right in where some of the many frightful scenes of the movie were filmed. There was also a great display about resistance in the ghetto. Screenshots to give context taken from -chornyi on and his video on “Schindlers List Movie Locations in Krakow (4k): Complete Tour”
Dawaj Polska! Cheering on (even though we really love too) in at the coolest place! Please someone make this place back home in but also with this too please! …and I love but this is and
I was so excited to put on some and pull out my old cassette tapes and jam on, like totally, but apparently this is a water treatment company, and not the magical portal I had hoped it might be. 😕
Yes we did more sightseeing today, but my biggest accomplishment was finally going up (and back down) the terrifying tall and narrow staircase in our to the I’m not a fan of heights, nor narrow staircases with no railings, but I did it! Jude got the kids up there a couple of days ago. I just can’t imagine how anyone actually carried that furniture up there! What are your proudest big wins that may not seem so huge to everyone else?
A very special day today, pretty certainly finding the nearly 150-year-old (1881 & 1885) gravestone of my great, great, great grandparents! ❤️ 🇵🇱 and Połajewo, Greater Poland Voivodeship

Waiting on their goulash!
From the Eurocup2024 Switzerland v Hungary game in Cologne this past Saturday!
Don’t want to alarm anyone, but I just got a on my phone for today in the area. “Temperature is expected to rise above 31” degrees! (For those of you in the that’s 87.8 … or for those of you back home in that’s basically like March and October! They’ve even uncovered the at our … If we don’t come home, don’t worry about the worst, we may just decide never to leave!

Had a great dinner and concert tonight at #KlezmierHois in the #Kazimierz district! #HavaNagila #BeiMirBistuShein #IfIWereARichMan and a number of other beautiful songs. #Krakow continues to impress us with its rich #culture re-emerging through its history of great highs and unthinkable lows. #Poland #History #Ourstory #LearnFromThePast #CreateABetterFuture #Travel #Explore #RoadTripsWithKids #OurChildrenOurFuture
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the #Wawel Dragon (Pomnik Smoka Wawelskiego)! We got to climb through his dragon den on our way down Wawel hill from the castle and then got to see this #firebreather #Wawelcastle #Krakow #Poland #Polska #WawelDragon #Dragon
Watching the last laps of the #TourDeFrance in #Paris near the #TuleriesGardens just past the #Louvre was truly one of our neatest moments. We didn’t plan our schedule for this and weren’t really sure how to best do it but it worked out like a dream. We had a lovely restaurant table with good drinks and bathrooms. We watched a wide-screen tv and had great drinks, and could still run outside for videos like this, of one of the #EIGHTlaps the #cyclists rode past us. Friendly people, new friends, great food and drinks, and all the excitement!!! Another of many days where we fall further in love with #Paris #France #JaiTaime 💙 🤍 ❤️ 🇫🇷 🥂 #Europe23 #FamilyTravel #Memories #ExperiencesOfALifetime #LivingLife #LearningLife #lovingLife #AnytimeEverytime
Had some fun #driving the #German #Autobahn today with #NoSpeedLimit . Without much #traffic, even higher speeds felt much safer than some of our drives in other countries on this trip. We got our little van up to 150kph (approximately 95mph) and there were still a few other cars that flew past us. #Driving #RoadTrips #WearYourSeatbelts #Europe23 #Germany #GarmischPartenkirchen
I’m remembering the #REXparade again and need to go look back through my videos to watch that again! #FlagToss #SchoolOfDesign #Palio #Siena #Italie #Italy
The kids thought it was so cool that the parade came by in front of the very street our rental apartment is on (I did not point out the #MardiGras irony there but was glad they were impressed with a #parade with no #throws !)
We are loving #Sienna! The heat of the #summer23 is so worth the excitement of preparing for the #Palio #horseracing #contrada #italie #italy #travel #culture #learning #experiences
For those of you in New Orleans, you may remember that the #RexParade this past #MardiGras was designed around the annual #Palio (#horserace ) where neighborhoods, or #Contradas (there are 17) each have a horse and a mascot they cheer for as to win the race in the center of town. We’ve enjoyed hearing drums practicing, watching flag tossing, and seeing the stands go up and general excitement all around. It feels similar to the weeks right before Mardi Gras for us! Tonight we heard more drums and singing echoing through town even though we couldn’t tell exactly where it was from. It was neat to listen to from our windows.
We’ve happened upon this procession a few times now. It is the feast day of San Giovanni (Saint John the Baptist)
We did get out for 5-6 hours earlier at least, but this pool is a big draw to head “home” to for the afternoon!

Starting #SpringBreak last night walking the #GatorWalk in #Daphne #Alabama while waiting for our table for dinner. We saw 4 gators on our short (1/3 mile?) walk. Weather is a bit of on-and-off rain, clouds, and a cool 72 degrees or so. I want to sit (covered) #outside all week!
