A day trip to Chiavenna is always a good idea 🌸

A small mountain town located about 20 mins from North Lake Como two hours drive (or two and a half by train) from the city, close to the Swiss border.

Chiavenna has something for everyone - nature, culture, history, a little adventure, and a very special culinary tradition.

With its beautiful mountain backdrop it’s a lovely place for a stroll, one of those Italian towns that manages to be quaint and authentic and is never crowded and offers a great selection of cafes where to enjoy a typical regional wine ( Ponte del Mera has a pretty balcony overlooking the river and a good selection of regional wines) and eateries (check out ) .

Lake Como is a must-visit destination and there are so many people visiting between June and September when as many would say the summer months are the best, when sunny days are long, water activities are enjoyable, and restaurants and hotels are crowded.

However I can guarantee that you can truly enjoy visiting in the off-season: experience the charm of Lake Como without crowds, while dressed in its fall colors, enjoy the picturesque towns, the villas, the hiking routs and romantic promenades, you won’t be disappointed!

I’m Sofia There’s a lot of new people who have discovered my page since I launched my very first ever giveaway yesterday. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce or reintroduce myself to everyone and to put a face behind my business. Im Sofia, property co-host at Lake Como Italy 🇮🇹 I was born in the UK 🇬🇧 but I've been living in Italy for many years (celebrated 30 years in Italy this year, but still feel more English than Italian!!). After working for more that 10 years in a real estate at Lake Como and managing holiday rentals in the area, I started my own business and joined the Airbnb platform in January 2018, helping out some property owners who've become my friends over the years. At the moment I help manage 13 properties 🏘️ 🏡 🏡 During lockdown I went online with my very own website and started studying strategies of social media and how to get bore direct bookings. I’m still at the beginning with that but I’m working on it:) I love my job and I have always had, getting to speak to people from all over the world and doing my very best to give my guests the best experience. I'm very pleased to be part of a community of travelers and hosts, when I can I like to meet my guests, not always possible though having properties dislocated all around the lake. And while I’m at work, I always get some me time, to see new places at the lake, try out new cafés or restaurants and spend quality time with my husband and sisters ❤️(every time is an excuse to go to the lake!), and of course my doggie Cory 🐕 is always with me ❤️ Welcome to our page, we look forward to getting to know all of you over the coming days and weeks. Hello! Im Sofia, property co-host at Lake Como Italy.

I'm originally from the UK, but I've been living in Italy for many years now. I studied languages at university and I can speak German and French quite well. After working for more that 10 years in a real estate at Lake Como and managing holiday rentals all over the lake, I started by own business, joined the Airbnb platform in January 2018, and then set up Sofia’s Lake Como Rentals, helping out property owners who've become my friends over the years. I love my job, speaking to people from all over the world and always do my best to give my guests the best experience. I personally know my houses and guests' satisfaction is my top priority! I'm very pleased to me part of the community of travelers and hosts, when I can I like to meet my guests, not always possible though having properties dislocated all around the lake. I'm also an English teacher and work in several schools with primary and secondary children and adults.
