Camp Haile is the perfect place to recover from international travel and jet lag. After a few days rest, it is time to head to the bush and Haile recommends travel with Pure Wildlife Adventures. They may be contacted through this page. Mababe Trust Wilderness Campsites are about a four hour drive from Maun and provide an exceptional place to stay when on safari in the Khwai area. Mababe is a small village of less than 300. It is hard to say enough about these exceptional campsites and the community that runs them. Camping is located on the other side of the river from the village. The spacious sites are on the river and each has its own shower with hot water and flush toilet. Elephants are daily visitors and there are lions in the area. There is a small tuck shop in the village for refreshment emergencies. Be sure to take a minute, okay, more likely an hour to visit Idea and his family to learn about the Khoisan community in Mababe.
