Day 3 on the MSC Magnifica
We were scheduled to go to their private island, Ocean Cay, but 40 knot (46 mph) winds prevented us from navigating the narrow channel to dock. As such, we are now pretty much drifting in the direction of Miami, where we will disembark tomorrow. They refunded the port taxes and any funds spent on excursions or rentals for the day.

The Magnifica has a pool under a retractable roof, which is where we are hanging out. They have added more activities to the schedule so guests have things to do. Lots of reading and Internet surfing going on today. Still better than a day on land!

I have group space reserved for the September 16, 2023, sailing of Carnival Cruise Line Mardi Gras (prices have increased since). There are 15 cabins (interior and balcony) remaining!

📌If you know you want to travel this summer or even later in 2023 start planning like, yesterday. 😉

📌Pricing is up…everywhere. Including all things travel. What you could get for 3k a few years ago is not available now, think double.... yes, double and sometimes even higher. And, I’m sorry but I don’t have access to some secret vault with bargain prices on airfare. 🙃

📌”Deals” are harder and harder to come by. So gambling time to see if the price comes down may leave you with less than ideal options (and/or) increased pricing. Many resorts and cruise ships are booked solid, sold out, thus no need to offer "deals".

📌Availability is already low for summer travel. NO this is not a scare tactic- it’s honest and based on my research for current client requests.

📌This is busy season for our industry - and it's even busier since we've come out of the pandemic - so patience on our replies is SO appreciated!

📌If you use a travel advisor (even if it’s not me) please, please, please don’t waste our time looking up trips that you aren’t sure will happen. The internet is for looking, we’re here for advising and booking. I want to help everyone but there aren’t enough hours in the day.
